The co-pilot of the Germanwings passenger jet which crashed into the Alps at 400-miles-per-hour on Tuesday had to stop his pilot training in 2008 because he was depressed and suffering 'burnout'.

Andreas Guenter Lubitz paused his training with German flag-carrier Lufthansa because he was under so much pressure.

Since you can't seem to bother to actually find facts..here is one..

Now do your own research

I believe you will find that my only comment on the thread was the one below..lock mechanism problem. Evidently you suffer from an inability to comprehend what you are reading and have me mixed up with someone else who thought the FO could have been sick or some other problem. I don’t see a tie-in in my post about a possible door lock problem with him being sick. You can’t give any EXACT info as heretofore all anyone is doing is speculating and guessing.
You might want to check your emotions before returning to the computer and exhibiting behavior like a liberal.

“”Entirely possible the door lock mechanism was as affected by malfunction in computers as the plane itself could be. I’m not saying that was the case with the PLANE in this incident but a possibility with any A 320....””

Gotta say that is pretty impressive. You’re pretty good at copying and pasting - not so much for facts. Have you never heard of SOURCES?

That story isn’t plausible here. I have told you repeatedly there are MULTIPLE indications of why this was intentional mass murder.

A faulty lock doesn’t explain it all...and the REASON I AM NOT QUOTING INFO IS BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO GET THE SPECIFICS WRONG AND I DONT WANT TO SPEND THE TIME TO FIND IT TO QUOTE IT

IT IS OUT THERE
. I have read it

GO LOOK instead of pretending it doesnt exist.

AGAIN, I AM NOT GOING TO GO TO GOOGLE TO FIND THE INFO FOR YOU. YOU DO IT.
IT IS OUT THERE.

You look stupid by pretending there are not MULTIPLE indications that this was Mass Murder...including manually adjusting the auto pilot.

I am tired of people claiming that there is no specific info by Brice Robin ,the prosecutor. Stop spreading lies.

Robin has gone into specifics including talking about how the murderer changed the altitude.

Don’t expect me to find the quote. Google it.

Auto Pilot was MANUALLY adjusted after the pilot was locked out according to those who monitor such things.

At first I dismissed the claims that he changed the altitude in the altitude window (dialed it down to "100 feet", really 96 feet on the data with altimteter set at 1006 hectopascals, hPa). How could they know what it was changed to? By counting the number of "clicks" over the voice recorder? The DFDR data is not available -- the CVR (voice) is the only data source otehr than radar tracks.

It turns out sometimes the transponder ping data does include what is programmed in the FCU (I think it's called in the A320). I wouldn't have believed it before reading the detailed explanation from FlightRadar24, though I think they must be referencing data transmission over CPDLC, not the radar transponder over-air transmissions.

But now that claims are emerging that he converted to Islam over his break from training, I feel more comfortable with the theory that the act of crashing the airplane was a deliberate act -- and yes by a devotee of the ROP.

The door lock can be opened from the cabin side with an entry code UNLESS the pilot sets the override to prevent it. The override can lock out the entry code for periods of 5 minutes plus. It automatically times out if not restarted. After the pilot left the cockpit, Lubitz had only to override the external code to lock the pilot out. The ride to the ground took 8 minutes. Depending on the override value, a single invocation may have been sufficient to keep the door locked.

Entirely possible the door lock mechanism was as affected by malfunction in computers as the plane itself could be. I’m not saying that was the case with the PLANE in this incident but a possibility with any A 320....

The door lock appears to have worked as designed.

E.g., locked-out pilot punches in unlock code. Alarm sounds in cockpit. Annoyed co-pilot reaches with his left hand and flicks the switch to LOCK, extending the unlock time by at least five minutes.

Watch the training video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROIH3KCEIvs. Focus on "door opening logic". BTW, all pursers should look like Sally.

I spotted the LAT/LON in your listing. The aircraft was at 38000 ft when the autopilot was "adjusted". The lat,lon in the data maps to the location below from Google maps.
