As she argues in favor of abortion rights and gay marriage, Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, head of the US Episcopal Church, says it is immoral to be skeptical about man caused climate change. This came as the church hyped a webcast about fighting climate change.

I left the Episcopal Church because I don’t want a group of politically pretentious humans telling me what to believe. My faith is in God, and not in the Episcopal Church.
I find the morality she invents to be immoral.
So typical of the right-wing extremists on this thread to twist their own perceptions ie. the “weather as observed” into comments which deny SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS. I know it is atypical of you nut-jobs to understand the difference between the general and the specific, but let’s say I squished the head of a rat in my door the other day, completely by accident, and thereby, though the action was taken with malevolence and aforethought, killed a small animal which was trying to escape the effects of global warming by entering my house on a midwinter’s eve. Would you then say “oh it was I that killed the rat?” Of course not. You would look at the influence of Exxon, Bush, and the Jews on this archetypal portrait of the crucifixion of the innocent at the hands of big business, oil purveyors like Israel, and the peanut allergen cabal.

Quite honestly, Why would anyone deign to attend this false Christian Church. What would be the point?
I knew it was the JOOOZ!
God is in control you pompous little man!
This kind of thing always reminds me of the godless “Christians” faithfully going on with their bible studies in hell like the lost souls in C.S. Lewis’ “The Great Divorce”. Wanting nothing whatsoever to do with the God they proclaim and content to remain in the darkness. Got a rude wake-up call coming one of these days. Think they’re on Cloud 9. Huge storm brewing in the distance.
They have swallowed global cooling, global warming, climate change, climate crisis, and the Alinsky attack against climate deniers. Soon, all this will lead to crap. Then, it will bring all a new crisis from the eco religion. It will be the sacrament of the Crap Crisis. They will swallow that too.
The head of the Espiscopalian church has said that Jesus is not the only way to salvation and she dares to say that “Climate Change Deniers” are heretics.
Down is up and wrong is right among socialist leftards.
The conservative members broke ranks and left.
And before anyone misunderstands my post, I’m not saying women can be spiritual or have great roles to fill and fulfill. I’m just saying it’s very clear who the spiritual leader over a congregation is supposed to be.
The had a serious global warming problem in Sodom and Gomorrah. But the Episcopal Church has removed that part of the Bible.
That’s what happens when you let your seminaries fill up with draft dodgers.
You cannot call yourself or in any way label yourself “Christian” when you flat out fly in the Face of God and His word. So, the real “denier” is this defrocked woman!
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. It seems that there hasn’t been much of a trend in liberals teleconferencing given today’s trendy tool of encryption and high-speed internet. Even plenty of churches have internet connection, so she could host and transmit an internet broadcast from a local church rather than fly in which she talks about climate change.
