The First Lady visited the "Ellen Show" today and lamented to Ellen Degeneres just how 'hard' her life is in the White House.
Ellen: "Are you used to living in it?"
Mrs. Obama: "First it was like drinking from a fire hydrant. …it was hard."
She explained in more detail.
"The one thing people don't realize is, we can't do little things like open windows."
Outside the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue walls is just as rough.
"I haven’t been in a car with the window open for like seven years...I look forward to getting in a car and rolling down the window and just letting the air hit my face."
So much to pity.

Walk a mile in my shoes.
It is -17F and I hope my car will start to get me to my first job of the day.
My coat is from the VOA and the jeans are thread bare, layered with thermals from K-mart.
My gas bill is likely to be cut-off come spring time and the electric company threatened last month over a $64 to cut off my power. Funny...no electric ...no gas heat.
I need to see the doctor over my high blood pressure, but I still can’t afford him....or the drugs he’ll prescribe because of 0bamacare.
I am up every morning at 5am to work and often don’t go to bed until after 11pm, but still can’t keep up with the hidden inflation your kind seem to think is meaningless.
Yeah...no heart felt grief for you about opening a window...just like you to walk in my shoes one mile some day.
In a couple of years, she can be complaining, “We bez ded broke like dem Clintons. Ain’t gots no money, so no mo fancy vacations. Kids might have to go to publik skool. ...”
