I heard only 314 people celebrated the day because they were irrational.
When the moon hits your eye
Like a big pizza pi, that’s amore
>> You can catch it again tonight, as long as you don’t insist on using military time. <<
If you’re using military time, it wouldn’t even have worked today in the morning, because today for the military is 14 March 2015. Ditto if you’re in just about any country other than the USA, because almost all of them put the day first and the month second.
When I was going there they didn’t even have thin crust.
I always write that joke on the board when I'm going to be teaching the binary system to a class. Hopefully, by the end of the class, they get the joke :-)
Pie? What kind? :)
A very corny joke, but funny!
The genius who figured out binary numbers (just 0 and 1) can be used to represent any letters or any high numeric value was a genius, and that made computers possible. Your hard drive has only 0’s and 1’s on it and nothing else! That is the easiest method of recording data since all it needs is either a charge or no charge.
That discovery is on same par as the genius from India who invented number zero. Before zero, the Roman numeral system was in use...very cumbersome for large numbers.
Do not worry, next Pi day will be on 03-14-2115’
to be celebrated at at 9:27 am.
what is that gadget?
Looks scrumptious!
You can indulge in any Pi today without feeling guilty!
This in once in a 100 year day thingy!!
I’m going to try to post again at exactly 9:26:53 tonight and capture the time stamp. I hope the time stamp doesn’t default to PST or to a 24 hour clock.
Nothing beats a freshly baked well made warm apple pie with a scoop of good vanilla ice-cream. A southern pecan pie is close second.
Key lime pie is good, too.
Strange. When I view my #9 from my ping list, it defaults to PDT, which is indeed 11:12:13. When I view it on the thread view, it defaults to EDT, which is 2:12:13. Totally ruins the effect.
I thought Pi was 3.1416 (rounded appropriately) - I’ll wait ‘til next year to celebrate.....
