Sable Nehme shows how she turned from the closet and pointed the revolver.
In this case in Florida, a young woman stops a potential tragedy by quickly retrieving a gun that had been given to her by her father. A second later would have been too late. From wftv.com:
The neighborhood, the Village of Alafaya Club, in Orlando, may be sketchy, as are many neighborhoods around universities. Perhaps local readers will be able to tell us if that surmise is true. The boyfriend, Nour Skargee, checked the peephole before opening the door. He only saw one of the intruders. As he cracked the door open, the intruder pushed his way in, grabbed him and pushed him inside. A second intruder in a hoody quickly followed, placed a gun in his face, and ordered him to the floor.ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. Channel 9 talked with a University of Central Florida student who pulled a gun on two violent intruders who attacked her boyfriend and threatened her life.
"They said they were going to kill (her), and that's when I really lost hope, you knowFortunately, Sable Nehme's father had given her a revolver. She was in her bedroom, and the revolver was in the closet of her bedroom. She quickly locked the door and retrieved the revolver, slipping off the holster that it was in. By this time one of the invaders had broken through the door and was rapidly approaching. By the time she had turned, he was within a couple of feet of her. As she turned and pointed the gun at him, he slammed to a halt and ran from the room and out the apartment.?" Skargee said.
"I am so thankful I had that gun in my room. Like, I don't know what would have happened,"Skargee added his opinion, from wesh.com:
If we didn't have a gun, it would have been game over. They were bigger than me, bigger than both of us," Skargee said. "We had no way of stopping them. The gun was the one thing that made them run."But what if Sable had not been in her bedroom? What if she had kept the gun unloaded and locked up, as many disarmists suggest? What if the invader had been a second faster or a step quicker?

If so, why would they do so?
If she were on campus, she would not have had that opportunity.
Good job Dad.
Charge her with brandishing a weapon, the attackers will sue her for mental anguish and she will end up having to drop out of college and take a job flipping burgers to pay the judgement.
Miss Sable may want to consider a new boyfriend.
One with, uh, a higher testosterone level.
I agree with your sentiment of "good job, Dad" and will add, might be time to rethink her choice of boyfriend.
From what happened to wonderful young couple here in Knoxville, TN a couple of years ago in the Christian/Newsome kidnapping, rape, and murders, she and her boyfriend would have been kidnapped, brutally sodomized, raped, and hideously murdered, but for her having the revolver and her quick action in using it. They are both very luck to have had the gun and lucky to be alive and unhurt.
Beat me by less than two minutes. GMTA!!
In my pocket, loaded revolver, trigger...bang, 24 hours a day.
Great story. Too bad the scumbag was able to escape, he WILL do this again.
Way to go DAD!
“the attackers will sue her for mental anguish and she will end up having to drop out of college and take a job flipping burgers to pay the judgement.”
No, no, NO!!! This is Florida, where things are normal and scumbag lawyers have been put in their place (at least on this issue;) Forcible felons (or their heirs) have no standing in Florida courts to collect damages for any injuries sustained during the commission of the forcible felony. Fall through the skylight and break your back: no claim. Threaten someone with a gun and get shot: no claim. On the other hand, FL is crowded enough as it is, so everyone else should do what they can to get similar protections enacted in their own state;)
Where are the Amish perps now?
I think the bigger rule is DO NOT OPEN THE EFFING DOOR IF YOU DON’T KNOW THE PERSON.
And when you are at the door have your gun ready behind it.
Most people don’t realize their door can be shot through pretty easily. Unless you have a hardened steel security door made for defense, the average house/apartment door can be shot clean through. And forget it if you have glass in the door.
Having a gun off campus qualifies you for suspension if the accommodations are linked to the university.
An executive order will soon put an end to such racist laws. ;-)
I was thinking the same thing! He lost all hope! Good golly.
Before permits were generally allowed, my wife and I were in an outside room at at well known motel. I carried an 870
12 gauge in the trunk when we traveled.
At about 3am, the front door unlocked with a key, and someone was forcing the door against the chain secondary lock. I had the shotgun between the beds, grabbed it, and had it pointed at the door as it came open.
The woman who entered instantly saw it and said, “Don’t shoot, we be leavin.” She turned and ran along with her two black male companions. I saw their backsides high tailing it down the stairs like something from a comedy.
The good old 870 loaded with 00 buck saved the day.
I’m glad that Sable’s dad gave her a firearm.
Now, to the young man, i direct your attention to a Mas Ayoob video titled, “Don’t Answer the Door’!!

Better to keep two or three firearms stashed around in case the police take one.
As the old ones used to say..
“It is better to have one and not need it, than to need one and not have it.”
OR as an old Arizonan said back in the 1850s,
“When you NEED it, you NEED it! And When you NEED it, YOU REALLY NEED IT!”
