Yesterday, moments before the North Korea "hacking" tragicomedy escalated into full retard mode with Sony pulling The Interview, or a movie that absent the attention would certainly be a flop, Wired released an article titled: "North Korea Almost Certainly Did Not Hack Sony" (title subsequently changed to the one below as can be seen in the URL alias "http://www.wired.com/2014/12/north-korea-did-not-hack-sony-probs"), which however, and for the better, retains its content as it is quite critical in debunking the latest government "certainty."

Continue
reading here for the full story, because moments after the Wired piece hit, we got this "
confirmation"
from the NYT:
It is quite clear that someone is lying (we leave it up to readers to decide who). The question is "why"?

Could very well have been an inside job.
Sony knew the movie was going to be a flop, so generate this story, and guarantee people will flock to see it on DVD.

As I understand it the malware was written in Korean. The warning that has been posted is obviously not written by a native English speaker. As someone who spent 3 years in Korea and is married to a Korean it sounds very much like something written by a Korean.
North Korea has the resources and the will to do this.

I also don’t buy the excuse that theaters are afraid of a terrorist attack if they run the movie.
Sony is afraid of what more will be exposed. I’m guessing there is a lot of political dirt they’re hiding.

I'd wager every nickel I have that that fat punk in NK has the ability to hack any computer system on earth...thanks to his good pals in Red China. And I'd also bet that he's crazy enough to do exactly what's been done. But I do acknowledge that he's not the only one with the ability and a motive. And one must admit that he *is* a very plausible suspect.

“As I understand it the malware was written in Korean.”
If I wanted to put this off on the Norks, I’d translate the source code into Nork too. I’m shocked it wasn’t written in Yiddish.

This story is going to fall apart quick. I can’t believe that this administration would lie!!!
North Korea is probably laughing their ass off.

To make matters confusing, however, the email wasnt signed by GOP or Guardians of Peace, I bet the media just LOVE being able to blame "The GOP"

With all the lies that are floated around from everywhere these says I now believe NOTHING in the news until confirmation from super reliable sources and sometimes not even then if the story seems "too good to be true".

RE: As I understand it the malware was written in Korean.
Does it follow then that the malware is written by a North Korean? What about somebody ( other than a Korean ) who can speak Korean?

So you think the Sony execs outed their “racist” comments?
To: SeekAndFind
Sony hacked itself for publicity? Revealed personal data will be found to be false.
Provide impetus for more anti-piracy, and more restrictions on the net for the general population.
Give bo a chance to apologize to NK.

Yeah, I don't believe this is about fear of NK or publicity. This is about covering up the real dirty laundry.

The comments were all pretty tame, if I remember correctly. Also, the brouhaha died down WAY quick.
So yes, I think the Sony execs outed their racist comments.

actually I am starting to think this whole thing is a marketing ploy to get everyone to rush to the theaters to see what all the fuss was about when the movie is eventually released.
