When he challenged President Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast, Dr. Ben Carson, neurosurgeon extraordinaire, became an overnight sensation in conservative circles. Here was a super-accomplished African American man who dared to serve as a culturally conservative counterbalance to the most Left-wing president in the modern era.

This may indeed be true and I truly like and respect the man, however, he has left-over liberal/socialist ideas that prevent me from supporting him, i.e. read what he had to say about Trayvon Martin, gun rights, crime and law enforcement, etc.
He is NOT a friend of the 2nd Amendment
All he did was join the liberal wing of the Uniparty (the GOP) and is not officially part of the radical wing anymore.
no thanks.
Elect Dr. Ben as House Speaker and see how he does.
There are many good — even great — people who just aren’t cut out for politics, much less the presidency. Dr. Carson is one of them, IMO.
Dr. Carson would make a good Surgeon General in the Walker/Cruz administration.
That’s nice, but no thank you. He’s a sincere, good, capable man who can’t be trusted.
It’s official:
NOPE.
I dont agree that Clinton was impeached for having an affair, mind you he was never fit for office.
Ken Star was a wonderful Christian man just trying to get to the bottom of things, Clinton`s obstructed every step of the way.
If anything the affair probably helped Clinton
I like Ben Carson, but have some questions, I suspect? he would be better than Romney
If it`s true that he was on wrong side of Trayvon Martin etc, troubling
Unsure about were he stands on Mike Brown...Clear to me in this case that Officer Wilson is innocent
I would think that you would need the most powerful weapons you can get whilst dwelling in a city.
He definitely has a story to tell, he seems able to see Obama for who and what he is but Carson still holds onto the philosophy that we need more government than less - just the "right kind!"
That idea is what stuck W in the muck and mire and wound up developing more "compassionate conservative" and his dad's "kinder, gentler" government, instead of less government more liberty.
Sad the two Bush's believed in government more than the people. That is a problem with the very wealthy, many truly care about people and want to help them but never seem to learn that you don't help anyone with other people's money.
Ronald Reagan knew this as he grew up and had to make his own way in the world and I think learned the lesson of charity, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach the man to fish and you've helped him for a lifetime."
Sounds like Mitch.
To add to the speculation, Carson officially switched parties from registered independent to Republican, though he’s long sided with the GOP.

So what? He is weak on guns and horrible on amnesty, and is prone to saying things that, while true, leave him open to being framed by the media. BenDontRun.
Anyone have a spare copy of the Constitution they could send him?
“I dont agree that Clinton was impeached for having an affair, mind you he was never fit for office.”
He was never fit to have an affair either. He seemed more along the lines of an abuser of women...
He's as exciting and animated as a bowl of soggy, luke-warm Uncle Ben rice.
Why do so many folks here get all ga-ga over him?
