Saudi poll to reveal publics level of sympathy for IS
The Sakina Campaign plans to carry out a scientific survey to determine the position of the Saudi public on the caliphate announced by the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria. This comes after the results of an opinion poll of Saudis were released on social networking sites, claiming that 92% of the target group believes that IS conforms to the values of Islam and Islamic law. Observers believe that in the current period, it is most important to focus on the roots of extremism and to address and fight it.
The Saudi Sakina campaign plans to conduct a survey to determine the extent to which the Saudi public sympathizes with the Islamic State and its recent declaration of a caliphate.
What has changed? They've been keeping a lid on their troglodyte subjects for over a century. It's not as if those subjects have gotten more radical - they've always been like this. The discovery of oil merely cemented the view that they, from whom Muhammad sprang, are Islam's chosen people.
One has to wonder if most people have any idea what they are doing in murdering people...or if they just see the lofty propaganda. If they know what’s going on, and still approve at 92%, then we should stop supporting these monsters and let them get taken over too.
I would have thought the percentage would be higher.
Just like Mubaric and Kahdaffy. That turned out just grand.
so much for “moderate Islam”
As much as we are disgusted with ISIS's actions and from our point of view is a public relations disaster, in the muslim world it is a different story. By being the "purist" islamic group, they gain a lot of street cred. As for the Saudi royal family, ISIS can correctly point out that islam does not allow monarchies. It allows for a caliphate, and that is it. The royal family doesn't have much of a theological leg to stand on, against a group that has claimed the caliphate.
ISIS also is gaining ground in that the Saudis are seen as old and paralyzed, and the willingnes to act is attracting the youth to ISIS.
Also, ISIS is an apocolyptic group. In islam, you don't just wait around for the apocolypse to happen, it requires action on the part of muslims. ISIS members are fully expecting they can bring about the return of the Mahdi and Jesus. And part of the apocolypse is the prediction that Mecca and the Kaaba will be destroyed by muslims. Note that ISIS has threatened to destroy the Kaaba.
Finally, note ISIS's benefactors. There are three regional powers in the muslim middle east. Turkey, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. Turkey is funding ISIS. By doing so they may be able to knock out Saudi Arabia.
The Saudis are the primary funding for ISIS.
And yet they have never ever had to deal with the direct consequences of doing so....
Which would look something like this:
If the royal family goes, then either ISIS or Iran gets the Saudi oil fields. SA is a sunni country, but with a substantial shia minority, and as I understand it, the shias are on top of the oil fields.
Not their government. Maybe individual Saudis, and it may add up to quite a lot. The only government that I know that is helping them is Turkey, and previously the USA.
Just like Ahmadinejad thought he was appointed to do....he even built a highway for the Mahdi! It is interesting that everything in the Islamic Apocalyptic literature is a knockoff/counterfeit of what is found in Christianity....which could very well mean Muslims will usher in the anti-Christ believing him to be their Mahadi. Though we don't know how he'll be actually presented to the world....Muslims will definitely accept and support the anti-christ.
Don’t fool yourself.
Listen to this interview with someone who knows more than we do.

I don’t know a whole lot about muslim apocolyptic prophecies, but one thing is they expect about one third of all muslims to be killed in order to bring about the mahdi. So if you think they are violent now, this is just the curtain rising.
Once you’ve lost Saudi Arabia....
...oh wait.
.....”this is just the curtain rising”.....
Yes.....even if they are slowed down the push will continue.
The other 8% complain that ISIS are a bunch of MINOs (Muslims in Name Only) who are far to weak for their taste.
The “royal” family of that country has a very special relationship with the royalty of ours.
They are given special favors in return for oil and their payments to terrorists.
It’s a mess. No doubt.
