Will NATO's Turkey join Russia, or Muslim Militants, as Obama's "Pen and Phone" Military weakens?

As the well-coordinated, Russian and Militant Muslim giant military pincer maneuver continues to rapidly succeed for control of the Eastern Mediterranean formerly Sovereign Nations, will NATO's Turkey soon have to decide if Obama's failed "Pen and Phone, Whack-a-Mole" Military Exceptionalism, is better or worse than Putin or ISIS?

Control of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Suez Canal by Russia's Navy would allow the free flow of Muslim Militant's Oil to the Russian-controlled Ukraine Oil Pipelines to Europe, at a mutually beneficial price to Putin and ISIS, of course.

When Russia stopped Obama from becoming the Air Force for ISIS in September, Erdogan was planning a false flag at a sacred tomb, to justify Turkey intervening on the side of the Syrian Rebels, but it was exposed (Russian intelligence?).

So no, I think Erdogan is much more likely to go muzzie, than it is to go Russian.

Better to kick them out of NATO now.

I think you misunderstand Russia’s position vis-a-vis the Muslim world. It is simpler than ours: they have only Sunni enemies, we have both Sunni and Shi’ite enemies (thanks to the Shah having been one of “our bastards” during the Cold War). Russia supports the Syrian Ba’athists and is cozy with Iran, both of whom are more threatened by the “Caliphate” than the West currently is. They recently delivered fighter jets to the Shi’ite dominated Iraqi government.

Should al-Baghadi manage to conquer his purported hometown, his claim to be Caliph would be legitimized in the eyes of a great many Sunnis, including those in central Asia, a strategic disaster for Russia.

The Turks should never be allowed to get the F-35, IMO!

Maybe, maybe not.

Obama passed the baton to Putin, so that Russia would now be in charge of Militarily protecting the flow of Arabic Oil to the World.

To Obama, this capitulation to Putin was to demonstrate to all Nations of the World that “The American People” no longer want to be exceptional.

A grateful Putin understands the old saw: “HE WHO CONTROLS THE FLOW OF CRUDE OIL IN THE WORLD, CONTROLS THE WORLD.”

B. Hussein say: “I told you that I would be flexible.”

Speaker Boehner say: “I strongly protest Obama’s capitulation, but I am going to write Obama another Blank Check anyway.”

The GOP-E say:
* “We can’t do anything, until we control everything.
* Never enter into a fight with Democrats unless there is a 100 % chance of winning that fight.”

The people say: “Party ON!”

Are you drunk?
That’s cool if you are.

ISIS isn’t going to get anywhere near the Red Sea or Sinai Peninsula, let alone into urban Egypt.

Check your map: ISIS is a-fix-in’ to crush the Kurds against the Southern Border of Turkey.

Russia will soon have control of the North Shore of the Black Sea.

Russia’s Navy must sail past the West end of Turkey to “protect” the Suez Canal while the Oil Tankers filled with Iranian, Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Oil are safely escorted to Crimea.

Jordan and Israel will eventually be overrun or isolated by Muslim Militants be it Hamas, ISIS or whoever on the flash-mob Arab Street.

Meanwhile, Obama will be closely monitoring the situation and gathering all the facts to make sure that this never happens again.

When the Muslim Brotherhood and the Democrat Brotherhood work together with Putin, ANYTHING is possible!

Turkey’s Drdogan tried to create a regional economic cooperation zone with Turkey as the core (and being a crossroad between the EU and ME); he failed. Early in his regime he tried talks with Putin; he failed. The two are irreparably split and economic competitors.

Russia wasn’t blameless in the disintegration of the Arab states (Lebanon — although some foolishly deny that Lebanon is Arab — Syria, and Iraq) and plans to cooperate with Iran to keep it that way. This economically isolates and damages Turkey, and militarily Erdogan helped do exactly that when he turned on Turkey’s ally Israel.

Iran likes that set of conditions as well. In the ME, Iran is the only beneficiary of what’s been going on; it has de facto control over Lebanon via its Hizbullah proxy, and the Assad regime is nearly 100 percent dependent on Iran. In Iraq, Maliki displayed too much independence, even though he did suppress Kurds and Sunni; now ISIS is threatening to take over the entire ‘country’, and that will lead to the rise of a more reliable and frankly Shiite proxy, or more than one, with some kind of figurehead gov’t, perhaps with Maliki still in charge.

Iran’s plan to control the Suez Canal via its ally Morsi failed, but it does have missiles in Eritrea, and transships terrorist weapons through Sudan. Egypt and Saudi Arabia cooperate (mostly by looking the other way) when Israel raids Sudan, and E and SA are bound together. Egypt is now an ally of Israel, and will remain that way unless E turns into a rootin’ tootin’ shootin’ fragmented mess like Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon.

The Saudis have brought in some Pakistani troops, largely to maintain internal order, because the tribal and religious factionalism in SA renders much of the population unreliable. The Paki army isn’t the best in Asia of course, but is not bad at all, and they have a decent airforce unlike most Arab countries. SA and P have a common adversary, Iran, and Pakistan has a lot of internal de facto autonomous areas, and no friendly neighbors (other than China, just in case they have a common border, I dunno without checking).

Turkey’s best move would be to support free and independent Kurdistan, but until ISIS is crushed, that isn’t going to happen. T just turned down requests to help bomb the living crap out of ISIS. While Erdogan didn’t create ISIS, Turkey is the pipeline for recruits out of Europe, and the porous border is, or was, Turkey’s. Now that the Kurds have to cope with ISIS attacks, that pipeline will close. You’ll notice that the Syrian al-Qaeda is reportedly hemorrhaging manpower into ISIS — that’s the result of their common goals and common source of recruits. Those coming from Eurabia had been using Turkey as the easiest route for some time.

Russia and Turkey are and have been and will continue to be enemies. Turkey will remain in NATO for its own self-defense needs against the neosoviet empire, but will continue to balk at any of its obligations under NATO. And it will continue to play the role of cork in the bottle, a buffer between the ME chaos and the EU, meaning no in in the US or EU will do much against Erdogan’s Islamofascist regime.

There is an old joke about Turkey — that they’d turn communist when Russia turned capitalist. Neither one has happened.

I doubt the Turks will join Russia. Muslims, maybe....IIRC, the Turks hate the Kurds on their southern border almost as much as ISIS. Well, maybe not that much.

But they would, I think, be more likely to side with Islam.
