One of my readers sadly remarked that this is no longer America that she grew up in. And the change that occurred at a dizzying pace happened relatively overnight.
It was not a gradual transformation born by normal change over time; it was a fundamental forced transformation from a constitutional republic to a rule by a corporatist and international banking oligarchy that pulls the strings of the former branches of government, executive, legislative, and judicial.
A soft coup has occurred that had been planned for years, unbeknownst to most Americans who are still busy thinking that, if they just elect the right candidate this time and energize the vote in one more election, things will turn around and the rule of law will be restored. They are not taking into account the millions of illegal aliens who are registered to vote, the deceased vote, and those who are bussed from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador and dropped off in Arizona, including young children to be housed on military bases at considerable cost per child to the U.S. taxpayers. These children will be reunited eventually with their families here, doubling, tripling, and quadrupling any estimates of the illegal vote. The newly amnestied Dreamers have already cast their votes in the last presidential election and helped re-elect our President.

It’s in the rearview mirror now. The question is do we have enough fuel left to go back and pick it up?
It long ago passed.
We began to lose it when Lincoln reinforced ft Sumter
That ship sailed decades and decades ago.
Sadly, when we went to vote in the Reno primary elections yesterday, my wife and I both had our voter registration cards out and ready only to be told we didn’t need them. They do bar code your signature when they give you the access card used here so there may or may not be an issue with voter fraud. I’d still like to be asked for some ID though.
1913 was the year it really started downhill. The Federal Reserve was created, along with the income tax and the IRS. We’re just over 100 years into our own destruction.
Most today think the purpose of government is democracy, and not to secure our rights. Democracy has been confounded with liberty. We are awash in democracy as we watch our freedoms disappear.
It’s already gone.
It’s tempting to say “it’s been gone for years now” but some things are still working pretty well. I can do pretty much whatever I want. However, what I want to do might be affected by what I can do. I can’t start a business, I can’t pay for my own education, I can’t pay for my kid’s education, I can’t travel like I want. I usually chalk that up to personal choices I made, but maybe things would be different if The Founder’s America still existed.
LOL! I guess it’s called Jekkyl Island for a reason. How many folks truly know that the Federal Reserve is NOT a government entity? Sure sounds like it huh?
It’s been gone since the 16th and 17th Amendments were ratified. Or, if you don’t think that change was radical enough, since Wikard v. Filburn was wrongly decided.
The only question now is how long before it’s too late to revive the Founding Fathers’ America without a violent revolution — and the answer will become clearer after the next two election cycles. (Not that the revival can be done in a few election cycles, just if they go the right way it will still be feasible, if they go the wrong way, it will soon be time to reach for the cartridge box because soap, ballot and jury will have failed.)
Reprobates.
It’s gone, we’ve not seen it since FDR mucked up the system.
This is a preposterously idiotic conversation. We own this country not the govt or liberal elites. Its only going to disappear b/c we let it disappear. If it does we’re the only ones to blame. Get some backbone already!
It doesn’t take a majority, not even close. What we’re talking about cannot be fixed by elections because elections are fixed. It just takes a very small amount of patriots willing to go all the way. “An appeal to arms and to the God of Hosts is all that is left us!”
“I can do pretty much whatever I want”
Not really.
Try just merely talking about non-PC subjects at work or in public.
Try travelling by air without a strip search.
Try merely painting your house a different color.
Try buying a gun without asking permission.
Try travelling with more than a few hundred dollars in cash.
Try starting a business without federal and State intervention, such as the EPA.
Try reading a Bible on school property.
Try sending an email without the government stealing its contents.
Try filing a patent. It now costs over $22,000 to do that.
Try keeping silent during a criminal trial: They now can use your silence against you.
Try keeping your private property if the government thinks it can sell it for more tax profit: Right to private property is not subject to eminent domain merely for more tax dollars.
I could go on and on and on, but the fact is you cannot do what you want.
That’s the point I was making. Most of those things don’t touch me, or not directly enough, but how many of those things would I do if I knew I could.
The other day I wanted to hose off a plastic drop cloth on my driveway. I was afraid someone would call the city on me. I forget about things like that because I’m used to soft tyranny.
I don't think America is completely dead, but I am praying the EMTs get where they are needed in time. If we're lucky we'll get one who has run a state successfully and as a bonus makes liberal heads explode.
