My beautiful German Shepherd has come to the end.

I’m sitting here with my 13yo German Shepherd and dread of the day you speak of which may be soon for us.

When my previous Shepherd crossed the rainbow bridge, I considered that he had graduated from this life unto his next one. Sort of like we would graduate from high school unto College. He learned all he could from me and was ready to be with his Creator. He now has a new painless healthy body and running around in the heavens.

It is sad that Tara had to leave you on your mom’s birthday. Yet, think of it another way, your mom and Tara now share a new birthday. Today is Tara’s first day as a newborn spirit. Tara’s spirit is now with you. Always.

My Shepherd was the best dog of my life. She moved on many years ago, but I still miss her.

Been there.
Done that.
Hurts like hell, and brings a tear to my eye 30 years after the fact .
Good companion, but loved eating dead fish ( bad halotosis)
but was all for the dogs best to be put down
displacea incapacitates ,..and saw the dog hurting, but it was time for peace and no more hurting , at age 13 years!
was a 'rescue dog' (shephard /collie) ,.. but my best companion ..and my first born child !!
