A contestant named Julian from Indiana University must be feeling pretty stupid right about now. And Hoosiers can't be feeling too proud.
Julian had the chance to win $1 million Friday night, had the puzzle fully solved, and then lost because he pronounced Achilles like “A-chill-us.” Because of that mistake, the show decided not to give him the victory and instead, one of the other contestants who know the “mythological hero” got the chance to steal and did. (To win the full $1 million he would have had to overcome some other hurdles as well.)
But alas, poor Julian' disastrous goof-ups were not over yet. Not by a longshot.
Next up, he could have won a new car! The puzzle clearly said PERSON. And Julian guessed....."C"? Seriously?
We need to seriously reconsider our college standards.

here in Hollywood, there’s a test (yes, a damn test) to find out if you are “eligible” for WOF. Test in pc terms means, personality, if you look good on TV + intelligence etc. And believe me, there are more morons who cannot pass the intelligence test. If you even tried the jeopardy test which takes 5 levels and say that, I won’t rile on you as there are more broken egos leaving for the broken lot.(I used to intern for the Price is Right with Carey)

Pat Sajak tried to console him the first time. But not after that. WTF was he going for? ‘World’s Fastest CAT”? Could not have been “Car” since the “R” was already used. Just utterly incomprehensible.

That was my first thought, too.
His flub in solving the puzzle that would have given him a new auto was a groaner. The kicker was that despite his two boners, he bested by quite a lot the other two contestants.
I believe I could definitely agree with that. If he is not embarrassed, he should be.
