Parenthetical clauses are used throughout scripture to explain how, why, when and where in close proximity to the main subject and verb.
Parentheses in the book of The Revelation explain cause and effect. They tie together the events that happen previously, to the events that transpire subsequently on the prophetic timeline. Unfortunately, parentheses, as a literary devise, come centuries after the actual parenthetical clauses so prevalent in both Hebrew and Greek linguistic constructions. Because of their late arrival into the English language, the parentheticals in the book of The Revelation have never been either deservedly researched or accurately articulated. Now, after more than 40 years in the making, The Chronological Gospels is complete with all of the extensive parenthetical clauses accurately assigned throughout the book of The Revelation.
Now, with its impending fulfillment looming large on the horizon, The Revelation can finally be understood with clarity and lived with integrity. This one feature (the parenthetical clauses in The Revelation) in The Chronological Gospels is worth one thousand times the price of the book itself.
Join Michael Rood for the first of the last four teachings on the very last book of the Bible, Parenthetically Speaking (Before We Are Saved From the Wrath To Come).
That is the bottom line of the problem with relating to people in discussions like these. It is an absolute impossibility for anyone who does not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to grasp the meaning of that line. Even the words of scripture have a different meaning to those walking in the flesh.
We will not reach those who God has not opened the heart of. He has hidden the very meaning of the words of scripture from them. Its so apparent when we post scripture that what that scripture means to us goes completely over their head. I believe that God is calling them but their pride will not allow them to humbly prostrate themselves before God and admit that there is nothing good in them. Without that admission God can not work in or through them.
That pride causes many to search for ways to please God in this flesh. What they dont realize is that there is nothing we can do in this flesh that will please Him. Thinking that by following some rules God will look kindly on us is carnal thinking. The pride that causes some to think that they can somehow by following a set of rules deserve Gods favor will only lead to distruction.
Ah, there you go again injecting meaning into a conversation that wasnt there. I didnt refer to this thread. I referred to here meaning this forum, this community. You can spread you error anywhere else you want but when you come into this forum expect to be corrected by scripture from those of us who know apostasy when we see it. If the light of the true gospel of Christ offends you perhaps this forum is not the best place to promote a fraud like Rood. It's his rotting deception that we smell.
bttt
I dont think that means what you think it means.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Those of us who are born again Christians are not under the law but are under grace. Its only those of you who are still under that law who Paul references in Romans 3:19. Pray that one day you will understand and turn to Christ rather than the law.
>>Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.<<
The law of the Torah is concerning the flesh. Those who insist on following the laws of the Torah are minding the things of the flesh and they are condemned by that law. Those of us in Christ Jesus are not.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Of course it is. Rood is a fraud and a shyster. He has learned to parse his words and put as little into the written word as possible. He has been exposed by those written words in the past such as his predictions back in 2000, from a dream no less, that Iran would have within a few months a working nuclear warhead loaded onto a missile. Oooops, didnt happen. A sly one indeed that old devil!
And who is the Mosaic covenant with? Hint, not the Gentiles.
Only for those who are lacking the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
I can just see them standing before Jesus trying to justify their right to enter heaven. It wasnt just me will not work so well for them.
Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS (Iésous): for he shall save his people from their sins.
Iésous
2424 Iēsoús Jesus, the transliteration of the Hebrew term, 3091 /Lṓt ("Yehoshua"/Jehoshua, contracted to "Joshua") which means "Yahweh saves" (or "Yahweh is salvation"). [http://biblehub.com/greek/2424.htm]
Acts 15:1-29 But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved. And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question. So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brothers. When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared all that God had done with them. 5 But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.
The apostles and the elders were gathered together to consider this matter. And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith. Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.
And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. After they finished speaking, James replied, Brothers, listen to me. Simeon has related how God first visited the Gentiles, to take from them a people for his name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written,
After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it, that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things 18 known from of old.
Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood. For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.
Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brothers, with the following letter: The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings. Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions, it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth. For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.
Jesus came to set us free. Not put us back under the bondage of the Law.
I certainly have looked at the whole thing...The fact that I disagree with some doesn't mean I've missed anything...
I believe those on the big C side don't bother with reading the posted scripture so I try to post as little scripture as possible with the hope that some may read it and get something out of it...
Others here post more scripture than I do and that's great as well...Then all the bases are covered...
I must be missing something here...Is this post supposed to show that God did in fact died???
I of course acknowledge that the body of Jesus (the temple, the fleshy body that God became manifest in) died but I don't believe God died...And to me, that nullifies any idea that God died and now is free to marry a new Bride...
You continue to talk in circles to avoid accepting the word of God.
>> “Thus: Lamanites & Nephites” <<
.
For you, I suppose so.
Anything but the clear Word of God, huh?
>> “Or add to??” <<
.
No, really, they disregarded Torah completely, so it was totally replacement by making Torah “of none effect.”
Try reading Yeshua’s words for a change.
.
It’s really a shame that you never learned to read the Word of God!
You post verses that totally demolish your own position to anyone that understands them, and then demolish the Word of God through your own comments.
The Pharisee’s ‘ordinances’ are absolutely what have been defeated by the cross, so that his Torah (teaching) can educate his sheep, and conform them to his Way, thus guiding them to their salvation at the end.
Your hatred of his words is killing you!
.
You continue to talk in circles to avoid accepting the word of God.
SURE I do...
Where, in the text, does it say this?
I'd like to; so just WHERE shall I look?
SURE they were...
