Parenthetical clauses are used throughout scripture to explain how, why, when and where in close proximity to the main subject and verb.
Parentheses in the book of The Revelation explain cause and effect. They tie together the events that happen previously, to the events that transpire subsequently on the prophetic timeline. Unfortunately, parentheses, as a literary devise, come centuries after the actual parenthetical clauses so prevalent in both Hebrew and Greek linguistic constructions. Because of their late arrival into the English language, the parentheticals in the book of The Revelation have never been either deservedly researched or accurately articulated. Now, after more than 40 years in the making, The Chronological Gospels is complete with all of the extensive parenthetical clauses accurately assigned throughout the book of The Revelation.
Now, with its impending fulfillment looming large on the horizon, The Revelation can finally be understood with clarity and lived with integrity. This one feature (the parenthetical clauses in The Revelation) in The Chronological Gospels is worth one thousand times the price of the book itself.
Join Michael Rood for the first of the last four teachings on the very last book of the Bible, Parenthetically Speaking (Before We Are Saved From the Wrath To Come).
Which selected laws are we to follow?
Because we CLEARLY can’t follow all of them as there is no Temple, no tabernacle, no consecrated altar or priesthood, to offer the required sacrifices in the prescribed manner.
Do you stone the adulterer and homosexual offender?
Do you administer justice in an eye for an eye kind of fashion?
I’m following Christ, not only His teachings.
Anyone can follow the Law. The Pharisees proved that.
They kept the letter of the Law. Jesus didn’t argue with that.
But they didn’t follow HIM.
Jesus saves me, not the Law or keeping the Law.
Yeshua taught against bearing false witness. I guess you overlooked it, or maybe you just consider yourself exempt?
As I've said, you're aren't bothering me. I can deal with your kind of falsehoods all day; it's child's play.
I was simply correcting you on who came into who's thread here...
Wow! Another Catholic tactic. Similarities are stacking up.
I think you should to be testing that "spirit" that you follow as the apostle John warned in 1 John 4:1.
Been told that before, have you?
Later...
None of us Christians are false witnesses...rather, we are under the direction of the Almighty God to the Pulling down of strongholds, and casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts ‘itself against’ the knowledge of God.....
Michael Roods false teachings and deceptions are known among the informed Christians and Jewish believers alike who have carefully viewed and examined his teachings....though it doesn't take much to see he's off the path of Christianity....and not only in a pit but taking others with him.
You are certainly free to plaster FR with his junk...but be assured there will be opposition to him and his teachings. Rood is a counterfeit and an impostor...so I don't see how any can follow his teachings unless they've been tricked by the destroyer 'early on' when viewing his junk.
.....”I think you should to be testing that “spirit” that you follow”.....
The Spirit of Truth is easily discerned for those who are walking with Christ and know His word. Again, it’s a relationship with one who loves, cares, and leads us to His truth. Rood is an impostor and a counterfeit.
Just as you can tell a counterfeit bill by knowing what the real thing is...so too can a Christian discern a fake one by knowing Jesus Christ personally.
....” a serious discussion”....
How can you even expect a serious discussion when your source is a fraud and a shyster? Roods teachings are intended to bait, hook, and maintain a following to fill his coffers and you’re assisting him to do that by ‘promoting’ him on FR.
But you cannot say that you are a keeper of the Torah and then pick and choose what you want to obey....nor can you determine the penalities when you don’t.
God’s word is very clear in the Old Testament that if you follow the law you must do so 100%.....and according to OT law...sacrifice an animal to cover for your sin.
What you are trying to ‘do’ is say that if you fail, {and you surely will}, to follow the OT law in all it’s detail, and pick what you want to follow, then you can jump to the New Testament and claim Christ’s blood temporarily.
That’s not God’s plan and never was....Jesus said it’s finished...he fulfilled the entire law and the prophets....His promise to give us His Spirit within to keep His word is the New Covenant..
The Old Testament is but a shadow of His coming....it all says ‘He’s coming’.....the New Testament says ‘He’s here’....and Revelations tells us ‘HE’s coming again’.
.....”Similarities are stacking up”....
Indeed and the tactics the enemy uses have not changed...but he’s sure blurring the lines today ...and why they can be seen just as they were throughout the Biblical record of history.
I think the difference today is people are far more easily lead into this junk religion because our country is being transformed from the inside out. This ‘includes the churches ‘now as the global agenda and those pushing it draws closer.
Until we become more serious about the enemy ‘inside the church’ and the real spiritual warfare that is taking place, the church will continue to deteriorate in its influence until what is left are mere traditions.
The Emerging church, which basically is along the lines of New Age.... is taking a huge toll across the US and spreading it’s tentacles within many Protestant, Catholic and Independant Churches...as well as on college campuses, and sadly within Christian Colleges.
We knew this was coming but it doesn’t make it any easier to “see” it happening.....
Here is another site detailing some of Roods failed predictions.
http://www.isitso.org/guide/rood.html
Yes we did know and no its rather sad to see so many being deceived by the likes of Rood.
From your link....
Rood has a ‘strong’ tendency toward mixing ‘wildly speculative’material in with solid Biblical teaching in a way ‘that totally muddles’ just where solid Biblical or historical fact leaves off, and where his own pure conjecture starts.
If his audience was made up entirely of Biblically-knowledgeable people, this would likely not cause much problem. Such listeners could filter out his speculation.
..... But ‘his primary appeal’ seems in recent times to be individuals with very little or no foundation in studying the Bible.... And thus they might well be expected to swallow his teachings whole, making no distinction between Roodisms and solid Bible content.
( I think the longer he goes at this the further down the hole he’s dug for himself....and he’s now making altogether false claims in order to cover his false teachings and blather)
At least you are bold enough to admit your views are colored by replacement theology - Most here do not.
Rood has had so many of his revelations not come true its utterly ridiculous to take him seriously other than to realize he is Satans emissary.
....”sad to see so many being deceived by the likes of Rood”...
Imagine how quickly people will fall when the ‘ultimate deceiver’ comes since people are already falling for the ‘obvious’ frauds....and they are everywhere today...most in the disguise of New Age and their anything goes agenda into ‘spirituality’ experiences”....and the enemy is not disappointing them either!
Read an article today how some claim the same 60’s mentality running our government now is the same mentality in our churches and why they are “bending” to the changes we see happening within them. I think there’s truth to that statement.
Me,too... so far...
