Gov. Palin: Can’t Boot God out of Public Square, Expect His Blessings
Us 4 Palin ^ | 12-24-2013 | Ron Devito

Posted on 12/25/2013 6:12:01 AM PST by KC_Lion

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin tonight said during a Fox & Friends Christmas Special, “you cannot boot God out of the public square and expect His continued blessings upon civilization.” Gov. Palin hearkened back to when she was Mayor of Wasilla and ensuring the city displayed the Nativity – because Jesus is the reason for the season. As early photos of her family flashed by, Gov. Palin said families being together for Christmas is more important than stuff piled high under the tree. She said military families should be especially blessed for the sacrifices their children make defending our nation and her freedoms.

I saw a t-shirt at a conservative rally that questioned why God allows what he allows.

It was about the Columbine shooting.

The question was, God why do you allow this kind of carnage in our schools?

God's answer was, You decided you did not want Me in your schools.

Thanks to Madalyn Murray O'Hair and the supreme court in 1963.

( Interesting side note, Life magazine did a story on it back then and I took the copy and buried it in the back yard of the house I was living in at the time by the beach in Santa Cruz. Unfortunately that act didn't overturn the Supremes bad un-constitutional decision...)

Palin speaks out the same, and the Old Testament documents similar situations over and over again.

Merry Christmas KC_Lion!

Is it possible that I might persuade you that single-payer and socialist-entitlement government K-12 schooling is fundamentally evil and that it is, and **always has been** built upon a corrupt foundation?

I had the good fortune to attend Catholic schools for 10 years and then spent the last 2 years in the local government's socialist-entitlement school. I graduated in 1964. I saw the difference between a truly Christ-centered education and the puny, watered-down, lukewarm, and generic Protestant nod given to God in the government schools.

In the parochial elementary and high schools, Catholic philosophy was thoroughly integrated into all aspects of the curriculum and school policies. Here are two simple examples among hundreds that I could give:

***. When a police, fire, or ambulance siren was heard, the nuns stopped the class and the entire class said a prayer for the safety of those involved.
*** Each hour, a small prayer was said to ask God's blessing on the hour.

In government school, yes, the day started with the Lord's Prayer ( Protestant version) and scripture ( Protestant scriptures). The rest of the day, God was forgotten and we were subjected to non-stop godless secularism. Occasionally, ( maybe a half dozen times a year) a religious song **might** be sung by the school chorus.

What does God do with the lukewarm and generic? Answer: He spits them out of His mouth.

Please remember:

**Government socialist-entitlement schooling was never more than generically and lukewarmly Protestant in its worldview.
**Government socialist-entitlement schooling was a Prog idea from the beginning.
**The Progs have always controlled teacher training and curriculum development.
**The Progs have always pushed the edges of society's morals and ethics.
** The Progs have always pushed for greater and greater secularization until now the government's socialist-entitlement schools are now, not only godless, but preach against God.

When children attend government socialist-entitlement schools that are generically lukewarm in their relationship to God, the students are at risk for two things:

1) They risk learning to be generic and lukewarm toward God.
2) They risk learning to be comfortable with socialism. Hey! If the voting mob can give them tuition-free school, why not use that voting mob to get lots of “free” stuff?

Today, the children in godless schools **will** learn to think and reason godlessly. They must just to cooperate in the godless classroom.

Today, nearly every teacher in this nation ( both private and the government's socialist-entitlement schools) was trained by godless Marxists in Marxist-run colleges and universities. Yet...Conservatives and Christians are asleep to the danger to our nation's freedom and the souls of their children.

In other words, Mary and Joseph were on a forced march.

They weren’t homeless. They weren’t poor. Joseph went to the inn presumably because he could afford to pay for it. There wasn’t room in the inn due to the government elite’s forced march.

And...Christians and conservatives willingly allow their children to attend the government’s GODLESS, single-payer, and socialist-entitlement schools. Why would God bless that?

Fact: A child in a godless school **will** learn to think and reason godlessly. He must just to cooperate in the godless classroom.

Conservatives in many counties, ( and even some entire states), could put an immediate end to this godless and socialist-entitlement abomination forced upon their children’s minds and hearts. They could remove their children from this poison but they don’t.

#24 bump.

I am still bitter about having been "educated" in government schools. My father was religious, but not well educated in the faith, so I had the heart of the faith, without the head of the faith.

As a teen, I was torn between "the world" and the Church, as evidenced by the fact that my two high school heroes were Jesus and Mick Jagger. The tension finally boiled over at the end of my college career, when I became deeply depressed.

Fortunately, grace pulled me through. I spent my twenties trying to figure out what had happened to me, and I eventually found what I was looking for in the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas. (I also found the explanation for the bizarre modern phenomenon known as "public school" through the writings of John Taylor Gatto).

Looking back, that painful period in my life motivated me to homeschool my children, which was one of the best decisions in my life, and which has been a great blessing to our family.

***

Sadly, the knowledge of the faith among Catholic teens is appalling, and probably worse than when I was a teen. Catholic Answers is filling the gap for 20-somethings, but it's a great tragedy that so many young Catholics must suffer through such psychic agony.

We are allowed to test things and use Biblical reason, this is NOT judging.

We cannot call good, evil, or evil, good. And you will know a tree by its fruit.

At the same time, we can't say that this or that person is damned. The latter is what Jesus was referring to.

Like wild bill says America—Bless God Again! — I agree God ought NOT Bless America for allowing those things —and more that you have listed....But His Wrath is a terrible thing. And He does NOT allow it lightly. He hears the Cry of Americans who feel as you do. There is an AMERICAN Spring coming —will you stand with us to reclaim the promise of America.Join with the Patriots.Stand with US.

Some Catholic parents are joining together and hiring a teacher and educating their children independently from archdiocesan control.

Here is an article about a group of Catholic parents who opened a private school:

Let me see if I understand you...A Christian can support abortion and homosexuality, and also vote for the removal of God/Christ from the public square?? Is that what you are actually trying to say?

If so I say get behind me Satan

So the last sentence is what it means by what the command of Jesus says, to not judge others then:

“At the same time, we can’t say that this or that person is damned. The latter is what Jesus was referring to.”

?

No, but what does it mean by what Jesus commanding us not to judge others lest we be judged?

It is not in support for anything sinful.

I am asking a simple Bible-related question. Thank-you for your answer ahead of time.

I hate the government and the government schools

why do Americans trust an put up with the government schools? we should boycott them.

I’ve gotten into many arguments when i dared to criticize the government schools, even on this site sometimes

What I am now being accused of is not much different than what A&E and liberal media has done to Phil Robertson.

I normally would have added I am a dirty rotten sinner saved by Christ, so I add that here now.

Phil Robertson was accused of judging others by his nicely worded paraphrase, from I believe Ephesians. for sure that was NOT the case, and is not in my case either.

According to your standard, you were judging me by your responses.

I don’t have the Scripture handy as we speak, but its in New Testament and it speaks of what to do when other believers speak of evil as being good etc...Speaking of the folks in the Scripture.

When someone is involved in something unspeakable, first you approach the person, then after that you take it to Elders of the Church, if he still persists then you have nothing further to do with them.

Surely folks that openly support the murder of God`s unborn children and also the teaching to children that its OK to be homosexual etc, not to mention supporting the removal of Gods Word from classroom public square etc, AS I HAVE STATED ALL 3

Surely that rises to the level of what the Scripture referred to....CAN YOU THINK OF ANYTHING WORSE? I CANT...CAPS for emphases only, not yelling!!!!

So also keep in mind I did NOT include my testimony in this thread, that was not what it was about, so I would have added that I was nothing more than a grateful sinner, saved by the Grace/blood of The Lord Jesus Christ

Do I not have the right as in the scripture to shake the dust off my boots and have nothing to do with such folks? Speaking of people claiming to be Christian yet supporting murder of God`s unborn children etc, just as Phil Robertson can quote the Scripture without judging

All we have on earth is Christians and Non Christians, sinners saved by Grace and those that are not at present

What about a Satan worshipper? Could I rightly say that he does NOT have the Spirit of Christ within him? Or would that be judging in your minds?

So someone that supports the ultimate evils of homosexuality, abortion and removal of God`s Word from public square.....I cant say they don’t have the Spirit of God within them?

Then if that’s the case nothing can be said at all

That thinking is NOT Biblically based

God Be merciful to me a sinner

And I am being attacked here just as Phil Robertson was attacked.

I am NOT apparently allowed to say that folks that support abortion, homosexuality and the removal of Gods Word from Classroom/Public square do NOT have the Spirit of Christ within them.

Now labelled as a judger

Does Pajama Boy celebrate Christmas? Does he celebrate anything besides hot cocoa and Obamacare?

He celebrates his perceived cultural superiority over the flyover masses who stand with Phil Robertson.
