On Wednesday night Megyn Kelly declared on her Fox News show that both Santa Claus and Jesus were white. Discussing a piece in Slate by Aisha Harris about a black versus white Santa, Kelly that "just because it makes you feel uncomfortable it doesn't mean it has to change."

It’s about as plausible as anything that Jesus of Nazareth looked like a typical Nazarene. Which was Israel’s idea of trailer trash, if I am picking up on the New Testament context correctly.
He probably looked like Swarte Piet!
I.e. Jesus was redneck before redneck was cool. The manual labor class (he was a carpenter) didn’t get a lot of respect. The big glory, to Israel, was in the literati. And the irony was... here was the Guy who, as God in eternity, breathed those holy books they were priding themselves over!
Well, Santa (St. Nicholas) was from Turkey, no? (Or what is today called Turkey) so I guess that makes him white; Jesus was a Jew from the Middle East, now to me those people count as white also, but I suppose some class them as “brown” in some way.

The word would be swarthy. Nominally Caucasian, but Caucasian covers a range of hues.

Jesus means so, so much. We usually err by underestimating Him rather than overestimating Him.

The actual Saint Nicholas was Greek. But Greeks come in different hues too.
I would expect that in the fairyland world, Santa is a Swede. The commute is close to the North Pole office. (Kidding around about this one, as if you couldn’t tell.)

Anyhow, Santa is a purposed fantasy tale. Jesus is real, and he’s what we get when Heaven puts in an appearance as one of its creatures. The proof is in what happens when He is worshiped in earnest.
