On Wednesday night Megyn Kelly declared on her Fox News show that both Santa Claus and Jesus were white. Discussing a piece in Slate by Aisha Harris about a black versus white Santa, Kelly that "just because it makes you feel uncomfortable it doesn't mean it has to change."

Saint Nick was Turkish, right?He was from what is now Turkey. But this was in the 300s or thereabouts.
No Turks around anywhere. They were all still over somewhere around China.
Turks didn't show up in the area till well after 1000.
Of course, the people we call Turks today are mixed, and include a very hefty chunk of ancestry from people very similar to Nicholas.

In the second, what verified that Jesus was white? Are you suggesting he was Black or Asian? Sure seems as if the Bible would have mentioned that he came from lands far away and looked different from everyone else.

The Bible doesn't mention the race of the 3 Kings either, but traditionally Balthasar has been portrayed as black. If he wasn't then wouldn't the Bible have mentioned that?
I have no idea what color Jesus was. But I highly doubt he was the white, European-looking individual that He is usually portrayed as.

Maybe it would be more ‘fair’ if other races got Santa on some years.
I bet some little minority kids get scared when they see the big white Santa.
Maybe they are scared that he will give them white presents.
Plus it lowers their self esteem to see a Santa who looks like us all the time.
Look how electing Obama made them feel better.

I'm sure after 92 posts someone explained to Megyn that the Lord, Jesus the Christ was a Semite, not a Caucasian. Semites are a sub-category of Caucasian. The point is that He was not a sub-Saharan Negro, as some Afro-Centrists like to believe.
