I have a buddy whose husband is a PhD in chemistry and specializes in pyrotechnics (sp?) and blowing stuff up (he call it “deploying” lol!). The forensic chemistry program looks interesting, but I’m the type that likes to figure out where things originate. Altogether, a fascinating journey.
Chemistry originated in physics. Were it not for supernovas, we'd have nothing but hydrogen and helium to play with.
They find relief in quite a clever way
When they\'re sorely pressed, they whistle for a spell
And whistling seems to brighten up their day
And that\'s what simple folk do
So they say
I stepped into a puddle and discovered quicksand. I walked in a field and my cousin practically had a cow yelling, “Get out of there! That’s a bull!” Some of us have overburdened our guardian angels.
Maybe I’d be happy w/hydrogen and helium. Helium makes you sound funny.
Elen will be interested in the forensic chemistry program, if she gets her math skills up.
Whistling is not allowed in my home.
All it takes is perseverance. Go, Elen!
It’s raining here. I’m going to bed with Jake.
There was an atomic theory about forty years ago that all of the elements could be imagined to be various combinations of hydrogen and helium isotopes. They never figured out how to make it work, but it does sound plausible.
If you can work it out for us, we’d be ever so grateful, and I will personally see to it that you get your own food printer, with the “Tea, Earl Grey, hot!” option.
Oh—does Elen understand that? I would have been so much more attentive had I but known that math is the great equalizer (like a firearm).
Good night and sweet dreams, y’all! It has been a good day! (I made sausage-onion-and bell pepper sandwiches for dinner. The green tomato cake is gone. Another culinary adventure awaits. We are so blessed to have each other and to have gardens!)
Dear NnB, If you depend upon my brain, you have invested in too feeble an instrument. Regretfully, Sg.
I don’t depend upon brains. I just carry mine around with me, like a book, to make people think I’m scholarly.
lol
Either:
1) your cousin instead of having the cow should have just given the cow to the bull which would have provided the necessary distraction...
or
2) you were walking near the capitol in Wash. D.C. in which case there is no salvation from the bull..
lol
That Korean show has a theme song in English that sounds rather medieval -ish

Girl Breaks Up with Teddy Bear (apparently he wanted her off the junk food, lol)
The More I study, the more I will understand! =^.^=
Also thank you for the My Eden link! Very Nice!
