The Republican National Committee, already threatening to block CNN and NBC from hosting 2016 primary debates if they air planned features on Hillary Clinton, is also looking to scrap the old model of having reporters and news personalities ask the questions at candidate forums.

I’m gonna go out of the box a bit and suggest Barry Farber as a moderator, maybe on foreign policy. He’s conservative, smart, extremely well-read, professional, courteous, and is not easily fooled.
Levin has already accepted the RNC’s offer, but has yet to receive confirmation. This all could be a ruse.
“I drove $200 cars...”
Yeah except "the right" is traditional Americana. "The left" is a bunch of Eurofilth-wannabees
Actually, forget the RNC! This shows how out-of-touch they are.
Conservative and Tea Party groups should sponsor their own debates, with Dennis Prager, Rush, etc, moderating. Invite the candidates and let them decide whether to attend. It does not have to be an “official” RNC function.
RNC = Republican Nanny-state Commies
Levin doesn't need those backbenchers. He should sponsor his own debate.
You honestly think the Democrat candidate will participate?
I dont believe that the RNC is considering them. I will believe it when I see it.
I never understood why the RNC used NBC,CNN ,MSNBC ...for GOP primary debates.
Hannity is a lightweight.
Hannity, Awww jeez I can’t sit through his 20 minute questions. But, I’ll say this; Hillary would never dare submit to questions from this trio.
Limbaugh would likely be OK, he'd at least take it as a serious responsibility.
Hannity would debate with himself for 90 minutes.
I'll believe this when I see it. The Republican establishment types have battered spouse syndrome. They crave being covered by ABCCBSNBCPMSNBCCNN etc., even though they know they will be abused and excoriated by them.
And though the establishment types may not like some of the questions from the LameStreamMedia, they would like even less questions coming from Limbaugh, Levin, and Hannity.
If Sarah doesn’t run she should moderate it.
How do they do that? Give him a cookie and threaten to take it away if he does not toe the line?
You're right on that ... plus the left loads up the panel with liberals equal to Candy or worse.
It'll be interesting to see how the 'oh so tolerant' handle being treated the way they treat others. I suspect the New York Times will wake up and realize the debates should be balanced. Something the little sh*ts never noticed or commented on before...
Disagree..Levin would NOT work...I’m a huge fan..but he would be too confrontational.. It’s not about him..he’s not running..Levin will, I hope, invite the two or three candidates that he favors onto his show... for individual in depth discussions...
I think Levin would work. He knows the difference between a debate and a talk show and would modify his tone. He is a lawyer first after all.
Democrats could discover how it feels to be treated the way they treated us... Democrats could 'grow' from the experience - it'll be good for them. Maybe sensitivity training before the debates would help democrats understand what bullies they've been all these years. We want to help democrats become better people.
To soften the feelings of insecurity this might cause for democrats, we can instruct our moderators to make ‘concern’ comments... comments that make it look like we ‘care’. I'm sure they'll enjoy the condescension as much as we did...
“They crave being covered by ABCCBSNBCPMSNBCCNN etc”
They may or may not have battered spouse syndrome as you suggest, but our contenders are conditioned to the type of emotional questions the liberal media likes to ask.
If anyone puts the kibosh to real conservative moderators it will be the republican contenders themselves. The likes of Christie, Jeb Bush et all are not accustomed to debating conservative, ideological, or constititutional issues.
Or the RNC will back out of such a debate, because they don’t want to see their rino candidates embarrassed.
I can imagine Cruz, Paul, Gingrich, and Palin enjoying such an intellectual feast, but that’s about it.
no way the dems let this occur.
Instead they’ll insist on reporters who are in the tank for dem causes.
Right there ms.crowley ya piece of crap.
