This is new information received today from a FOIA request to the Social Security Administration by attorney Orly Taitz. She posted it on her website which Free Republic will not let you post a link to in the Source URL box above. Here is an excerpt from the press release she posted. The link to the press release in typed in below.
c. It is not clear, why did Ann Dunham apply for a change from Dunham to Dunham Obama in 1963, when she divorced Barack Obama senior. One would expect her to change her name in February 1961, when she reportedly married Obama, not in 1963, when she divorced him. This application for SSN change for Ann Dunham was released for the first time today.
d. It is not clear, why did Ann Dunham apply for yet another change of her SSN card in June of 1995. This June 1995 application for a change of the SSA card was released for the first time in SSA July 29 2013 letter to Taitz and was received today. This change was made only a few months before Ann Dunham passed away on November 7, 1995. Incidentally, November 7 happens to be the day when the Communist revolution in celebrated in Russia. Ann Dunham passed away at home with only her two children present. There was no attending physician at the time of her death, no autopsy by a coroner. Her remains were cremated and buried at sea. Typically there is a requirement for a permit for a burial at sea. There is no record of such permit ever being granted or requested.
Oh good grief.
The Social Security Administration is NOT in charge of name changes. You change your name through the state. It’s been way too many years since I got married to remember how that worked, but I don’t think I had to fill anything special out. I just became FirstName HusbandLastName once I was married. I’m sure I had to notify the Social Security Administration of my name change, but it was official on the day I got married, not when I notified the SSA.
And if I wanted to change my name after my marriage, I would have to do it through the state, then - ONLY AFTERWARDS - notify the SSA.
In Hawaii’s eyes, Obama’s mother became Mrs. Obama on the day she married Mr. Obama. And it’s clear she considered that her legal name when she signed the birth certificate.
So Orly has proved nothing other than that Obama’s mother was not timely in notifying the SSA of her name change. And, frankly, since the SSA tracks everything by SSN, not name, it’s really not that big a deal.
Also, I just notice the left handed slant to the writing. I wonder who is left handed in this scenario. Remember, there are 50 clues a detective can use nail a crook. The most the crook can remember to cover up is 25.
What marriage?
Mike Zullo has said in interviews that there is no definitive proof Stanley Ann Dunham was his real birth mother.

There is no proof she signed the birth certificate since it has been confirmed a forgery by Hawaii independent forensic handwriting and computer document expert Reed Hayes and the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office Cold Case Posse.
I think he was meaning the Dunham-Obama marriage that is listed in the 1960-1965 Hawaii Index of Marriages and the one that was granted a divorce decree on March 20, 1964.
The divorce decree states: “That Libellant and Libellee were lawfully married in Wailuku, Maui, state of Hawaii on February 2, 1961 by a person
Duly authorized to perform marriage ceremonies and since that date have been and are now husband and wife.”

Reed Hayes examined a copy of a PDF image. A digitized image of a birth certificate is not a birth certificate.
No one except Hawaii government officials have examined the vault copy, paper, original, long form birth certificate.

Dr. Fukino, Dr. Onaka and current Health Director Loretta Fuddy have never been deposed and they are the people who have seen and handled the original document.
Obama’s mother was born in Wichita, Kansas on November 29, 1942. Wichita, Kansas is listed as the mother’s birthplace on the birth certificate.
Because she was never realy married to 0bama, isn’t the mother of Zero, and needed to get the name “Obama” so she could have custody of Zero, and create the legal fiction that the Kenyan and she were his parents and that Zero’s name was BHO2.

It was passed off as a birth certificate for Obama on April 27, 2013. It is a computer built forgery.

I’ve asked this before on this board but never received an answer. Perhaps I am barking up a wrong tree. Are there any astrology buffs here writing on this forum? I am not all that deeply into astrology, but only in a half-playful way. If you know anything about astrology, can you tell me whether this man looks like a Leo to you? He should be a Leo if he was born on the 4th of August. But is he? I am not getting a Leo vibe, to tell you the truth. There is something vaguely “catlike” about Leos. It is not seldom that they have cat-like eyes. Other times, there is something catlike about their expression or their body language. Leos are usually the easiest for me to reconcile with their sign. While it’s very hard to guess a person’s sign outright, once you are told (if you are sensitized to this kind of thing), you usually go, “Oh, yes, of course. I can see that.” It’s very rarely that I have said to myself:”Wow, I am surprized. He or she looks nothing like their sign.” It has happened a few times though. So it’s just possible that Obama is one of those rare people who doesn’t look like his very recognizable sign. Perhaps. But if I were to bet a small sum of money, I would bet against him being a Leo. He just doesn’t have this cat-like vibe, in my eyes. Halle Berry, for example, is a Leo, and she looks more like a Leo than Obama.

The state of Hawaii provides a link from the Department of Health web site to the whitehouse.gov PDF image, so it is the state that is confirming its authenticity.
Until the original is examined in a court of law, we won’t know for certain.
The Hawaii Registrar says that the data is the same on the PDF image as what is on the original. He should be subpoenaed and compelled to testify under oath.
I’m really surprised that the Registrar, Dr. Onaka wasn’t ever subpoenaed to appear before a congressional investigative committee BEFORE the 2012 election. He is the person who provides the Letters of Verification and who certifies the Obama LFBC copies. He has never appeared before any official body on this issue.
According to officials of the state of Hawaii in both Republican and Democrat administrations, there is an original document.
