Ask a progressive liberal who is the biggest cause to peace throughout the world and their answer will most likely be the USA. They will cite the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, our cultural insensitivity, and our military response to those poor, desperate souls striving to throw off the yoke of Western imperialism. In actuality, these progressive liberals are not only fools, but damn dangerous fools. They continue to ignore the threat of Muslim extremism and the ongoing war to destroy Western culture.
For some inexplicable reason, liberals believe that if we're just friendlier to those who seek to kill us, those same foes will amazingly throw down their weapons and embrace us in never-ending friendship. This will be followed by hordes of double rainbows and unicorns for everybody! For the life of me, I can't reason why they think this way. My father, who passed on a few years ago, once told me, "A liberal is incapable of concrete reasoning and abstract logic." I told him that he was being unfair, but upon further reflection, I see that he overestimated their mental capabilities and that he was, in fact, a freaking genius. How else can you explain the liberal attitude towards Islamic terrorism?
No matter how many atrocities are carried out, the left continues to whine about the West's "intolerance." In fact, we're bending over backwards to placate the barbarous sadists as they continue in their jihad against us. We are literally dying because we restrain ourselves from pulling a gun during the biggest gunfight in recent history, and it's about damn time we did.
Islamic terrorists continue to target other Muslims, but they also particularly go after Christians. As Christians, if someone offends us, we pray for their souls. We do not behead people or murder children. Yet somehow the progressive left continues to target the West, and Christianity in particular, as intolerant and inflexible. It's like they live in Superman's Bizarro World, where everything is backward. It's not mobs of Christians murdering innocents around the world. Let's examine a few recent examples.
In Nigeria, an Islamic terrorist group murdered 42 people (of which the majority of children) when they burned a school down. These scum set fire to the school and shot students as they fled. Many children burned to death in this hideous attack by the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram. This evil group, whose name can be translated as "Western education is sacrilege", seek to wipe out Western-style education as knowledge allows people to know they're being exploited and seek to determine their own destiny.
A murderer who cut off the head of three teenage girls was allowed to escape in Indonesia. The terrorist, Basri, killed three Christian schoolgirls and cut off their heads. The victims were Theresia Morangke (15), Yarni Sambue (15), and Alfita Poliwo (17). One of the girl's heads was placed in a bag and left on the steps of a church with a note saying, "We will murder 100 more Christian teenagers and their heads will be presented as presents." By presents, Basri was talking about celebrating the end of the Islamic Ramadan. For this horrendous actions, Basri got only 19 years, which is a slap on the wrist compared to the sentences handed out to drug smugglers and other criminals. Indonesia let Basri go in that he was allowed to visit a "sick wife" with only a single guard as an escort. He was then left unguarded at the house for hours, during which time, he fled.
Events like these highlight how radical Muslims view the world. They have no compunction on killing innocent children, murdering scores of Christians, or even killing one another if they feel you're not being pious enough. Radical Islam treats women as slaves and homosexuals are routinely killed. Yet for some reason, progressive liberals continue to bury their collective heads in the sand over this issue. What will it take to get them to see reality?
They really aren’t ignoring them. They want the “right” to be undermined by them to the point of their losing power permanently—and then the left will turn on their former ally.

But therein lies the question as to why ?
The left deals in and embraces relativism and with it comes uncertainty.
Any group of people, especially Christians, that express “certainty” are evil for they are “judgmental” and that is bad. That being said “Islamist” definitely express certainty and are judgmental, and should be viewed by the left as bad, but are not.
I don’t think the thought process among the left is really very deep or complicated.
The left in the west sees the Islamist in the east as a group of people that are fighting against the same people they are fighting. In addition, they think these Islamists have “freely choose” their path, and therefore deserves their respect.
Because Mrs. Smith, the 80 year old widow down the street who thinks the government spends too much money, goes to Tea Party rallies, and votes Republican is a bigger threat to world peace than violence-crazed Islamists who murder infidels and rape any woman who comes in their way. We have to get our priorities straight here.
The MarxoFascist Left (or Regressives) continue to ignore radical Islam BECAUSE they are allies.
They share a common hatred and enemy.
You and me and what America once was.
So, the enemy, of the enemy is a friend for both of them. Mutual advantages for an unholy alliance.
The crocodile will eventually eat them, but not before their larger hatred of America is sated and we are ashes.

Ain’t that a sad state of affairs when that happens? I’m sad my father’s passed, but I think it would kill him to see what’s happening to our great country.
I had a lot of debates with my father growing up. As I get older, I realize how much he was right. Sadly, liberals get older but not wiser.
