You won't believe how much has changed since then. Notice anything peculiar (other than the fashions) in some of these photos? (Many photos at link)

Those were such good times. I was around 15 years old.
Our country and the world was a much different place back then.

Not too many kiosks cluttering things up, and some Red White And Blue here and there.

Dregs of the Eighties clothes and hairdos. Smoking in a public place. No illegal aliens in sight. No cell phones. Those are the main thing I notice.

My aunt reminded me that grocery stores used to have ash cans at the end of every other aisle at the grocery store!

Little kid drinking a big gulp. Lady smoking inside the mall.
The womens’ pouffy, frizzy hairstyles are atrocious.

Peculiar ? People could still do the legal act of smoking in public?
The mall was not full of hip-hop thugs?

Phylis Diller made a joke about her hair being teased. Teased it? They drove it nuts.
All those girls in the mall had crazy hair.

Big hair, smoking and no smartphones. I’ll take the latter two any day.

Big Hair and Smoking.
Although the REALLY BIG difference that I saw .

there are PEOPLE at the mall!!
The only time I see that now is at Christmas - but none of these folks are loaded down with bags. I recall as a young teen (early 70’s) of spending HOURS at the mall wandering around, play the video games in the basement, wander around some more, play more games.....

You can see a lot of hold-overs from the 1980s.
The picture of the little kid with an old coke and a mullet is my favorite. Ah, those were the days.
No Barry. No Clinton yet. The Soviets were off the scene, and the Islamists had yet to appear. No talk of homosexual marriage or Sandra Fluke demanding condoms. Old America’s twilight years. *sigh*
