While the title says it all, I thought a goodbye was in order.
While I've been a FReeper for well over a decade, I must declare that it is time to part ways. While I have the greatest respect for a great many of you, the days where I can in good conscience remain silent about the issues that set me apart from the rest of FReeperdom have past. For clarity, or perhaps catharsis, I'm not entirely certain which, I'll lay them out on the table an call the ZOT™ down upon myself.
The racism: I just can't handle it anymore. FR has become increasingly racist since President Obama took office, and enforcement has dropped. Now, not a single crime can be reported with an "amish" comment, and I've yet to see a post express embarrassment or shame when lo and behold sometimes the perpetrators turned out to be lily white.
Homosexuality: FR is on the wrong side of history on this one, and I'll just leave it at that.
Mostly though, it's the hate. More and more posts reference violent solutions to political disagreements. Some subtly couched, others make no pretense. I wouldn't be surprised at all if I read in the morning paper that a FReeper murdered a federal bureaucrat or a federal judge.
I've learned so much, from so many of you, and for that I'm grateful. I genuinely and truly wish all of you well, and sincerely hope you all live out the rest of your lives in happiness.

Just where is some right-wing theocrat going to find a large enough electoral base to sweep him into power? Not among any of the people who just voted for Obama. And certainly not among we “right-wingers” who cherish self-governance above all else. That doesn’t leave much of a coalition for your Taliban dictator.
Right here, right now, in reality we have a communist takeover of our government and other major institutions of our society and you're worried about what might happen in some imagined future? For which not one single substantive instance exists on which to base a theory of this future possibility? I can hardly even think of any rhetoric from the remotest fringes of Christianity that could be infinitely stretched to begin to even sketch that notion. Are you worried about Martians invading too?

After seeing what those two Amish guys could do with one rifle, (in 2003) I’m sure a white team could do much better. Of course, these days there’s so many more Communists in America. They almost jump out of the bushes everywhere you look. There is some honest to God true communist targets out there that truly need killing. I would hope they are hung up for some righteous public display. Kind of like the guys in Iraq ... remember them?
I do hope you aren’t limiting the targets to only the feds because I personally think there’s plenty of state employees that carry the red and black communist colors everyday too. People have made a career out of crippling America and I won’t weep if they have to eventually pay the price of being a traitor.

1. Racism: “Racism” is a liberal word used to describe anyone who thinks Hussein is a Muslim communist destroying this country and just because he is orange, he is still a Muslim communist destroying this country.
2. Homosexuality: Against the word of God, murders homosexuals, transvestites, cross dressers, transgenders, sex changers by surgery, also murders those children, women, men who get AIDS tainted blood. Because you are a homosexual promoter, you don't belong on this forum, period.
3. Haters: “Hater” is a liberal word used to describe anyone who doesn't accept the liberal agenda of homosexuality, doesn't praise Muslim communist Hussein who is orange, and DOES believes in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

B.)Homosexuality, though increasingly acceptable in western society, is still 100% contrary to what nature intended. Babies don't get born that way and nature intended for us to reproduce. Think about it. It isn't any more right than ripping a baby out of a mother's womb even if both acts are acceptable.
C.)Hatred? You'll find it in abundance over on the left too. That's the new reality, another truth you can't handle apparently.

Think someone that might have served in the Spanish American war. As an aged headmaster at a private school in a time when beating children to get them to learn was perfectly acceptable (personally, for some kids... I think it still is).
We learned mostly by fast, correct guesses, after glossing the text. Nothing like a little bit of physical feedback to stimulate the mind.

It sure does, and you’re absolutely right about history. Since when in the history of man has homosexuality, in general, been considered not just normal but praiseworthy? Never!
Homosexuality is just about as sexually depraved as one can get. It’s rebellion against the natural order of things. It’s not my business to judge sinners, but I’m not going to deny the truth so they can feel good about their perversion.
I'm pretty much a contrarian here, and my views are that we're all going to have to stop making every decision about abortion, about homosexuality, and illegals....
there is not much you can do about any of that....except Jesus did say that you would know Christians by their love....HE didn't say people would know Christians by their hate...love would go farther than all of us stomping our feet at the same moment and shaking our fingers...
and illegals...well get used to it folks...latinos have always been here, many are good citizens and most people alive today in America have direct descendents who were immigrants...
I don't think people here are racist or homophobes...freepers are the type of people you want to come along when its a dark night on a country road and your car is stuck...good, salt of the earth people...
and you would probably be surprised at how diverse some people here are or have close relationships with people of other races/religons...

That has to be challenged. First off, if there are comments here that are untrue or racist, then those comments need to be challenged, not ignored. Secondly, if the comments are factual, your minority friends would be better served by hearing the truth. The truth is not always comfortable, but would you prefer for your friends to believe in lies?
As far as racism, I have only encountered a very few comments that go too far. For example, you have Islamic extremists (who happen to be Islamic fundamentalists, i.e. true believers, btw) committing violent crimes all over the world, but somehow we’re racist for pointing it out?!? That’s where the Amish thing came from. The press makes it a point to NOT mention it whenever Muslims commit violent crimes, so we jokingly say it must have been done by the “Amish” who are noted for being peaceful.
Secondly, is it wrong to point out facts about minorities, like they vote for Democrats almost exclusively? Yet, what have the Democrats really done for minorities other than make them generally dependent on big government? There are certain factors were minorities are disproportionately represented compared to their percentage of the population. Is it wrong to point out their illegitimacy rate is ridiculously high, that they are less likely to be well educated, that they use government services at a higher rate, and that they commit more violent crimes than their numbers would otherwise indicate?
Perhaps your minority friends should start thinking about what is going on in the country and where we’re heading. I, for one, would love it if we had more minorities on FreeRepublic. I’m open to the possibility that I might have my facts wrong, but I’ll never find out if people like your friends aren’t willing to come here and explain their point of view.

It is perfectly NORMAL to be leery of people who exhibit deviant sexual behavior that is destructive to themselves as well as a danger to those around them.
And normal,God-fearing ,or just rational people don’t approve of killing babies.
I,for one, am perfectly comfortable with the idea that all those promoting homsexual behavior and abortion SHOULD feel uncomfortable here on FR.
And likewise for those promoting more gun(people) control, more big-government socialism,more taxes,more rules to “stop global warming...i mean climate change” and all the rest of the so-called liberal agenda.

Exactly, I don’t care for “thumpers”, but they are not the “boogie man” the Left makes them out to be. They try to imply that if we don’t vote all Democrat, the Christian “Taliban” will take over the country. What a crock!
