I would like to enlist the services of the Prayer Warriors for the grandson of a little girl who lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up. She's obviously not so little now, but is in need of your prayers.
Keegan James Dondlinger was born yesterday, November 23, 2012, but was due March 4, 2013, three days after my own grandson is due. He weighed 1.85 lbs, but he looks very well developed for being so young and so little.
He's been able to open his eyes, and to grasp his mother's finger.
Doing fine. I've been checking for Keegan updates. But his Grammie keeps beating me posting them.
Excellent. Thanks for the reply.
How do they clip his tongue? Thanks for the update-we continue to pray.
He’s just a growing away! I am hoping the tongue clipping procedure won’t hinder him from nursing (or the bottle). Sounds to me like he is very close to coming home. Yeah!!!
It's supposed to help. That's why they did it. I don't understand how it helps, but they say it can. Maybe it's a special "premi who doesn't get to start nursing right away" thang?
The advancement in helping preemies is just awesome. In my Mother’s generation, if a woman went into labor too early... well, let’s just say that the outcome was usually fatal. The advancements are just amazing to me.
So he's still being pretty stubborn on the feedings, but the Doctor told us today that everything else is doing good enough that he could go home with them. Although we hope he gets off his "whiff" of oxygen and caffeine before he leaves, right now we are mostly hoping he will catch on with his feedings so he doesn't need a g-button.

You may or may not be able to see, but I certainly hope you can.
Y'all deserve to see and hear it.
All good. Facebook is blocking it (at least for me!)
Thanks so much for the ping and update. Sounds like this lil one is quite a champ. Can’t see the facebook part but this photo here sure is cute. Prayers continue of course.
Wonderful news! GREAT picture! Go Keegan!!!
Facebook blocked.
Praise The LORD for watching over Keegan James Dondlinger!!!
What a Blessing we have received for His work for Keegan.

What a blessing!
Thank You Lord!

I cannot believe how big he has gotten! I have a close friend that had a baby that didn’t like to eat. It got to the point that the pediatrician labeled him as “failure to thrive”. What astonished me was the recommendation: my friend let cold water drip on his head from the faucet. He would get upset and cry. Then he would take the bottle/breast as a way to comfort himself. When she first told me this, I was thinking “huh?”. However, it worked. Little Patrick is now a strapping teen. Not recommending this but I am wondering if there are some “tricks” to get him more interested?
Praise God that this little one has been doing so well. Thanks for the update, El Gato! He is a fighter for sure!
In other news, my grandson was born yesterday @@3:09 PM CST’13 days early- 7 lbs 2 oz. 19 1/2 inches. Nursing like crazy.. couple of hours worth yesterday. Good lungs wen he needs them. Home birth. Grandma & I didn.t make it until about 45 minutes later. both sets of grandparents got to hold him before the day was over. plus both paternal Uncles’ and his maternal aunt.
Attended buy 2 nurse midwives who were assisted by two sisters who have been friends of my daughter since early elementry age
Needless to say we are very happy and Thankfull.
Wonderful news El Gato,we are still praying.
Thank you for your continued prayers for Keegan. The latest update involves more surgery. we are going forward with the g-button. Surgery is Friday at 7:30am. He is up to 7lbs 2oz. and we are hoping that once he gets the feeding tube out of his nose, his breathing will improve and he can get off of O2. The neurologist liked his ultrasound Monday so they didn’t adjust the shunt. We met with lots of people and sounds like once the g-button is done, we can start working on going home.
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for the updaste Ladyiris58. This sounds like good news. Keeping Keegan in our prayers of course, tomorrow morning especially.
