I would like to enlist the services of the Prayer Warriors for the grandson of a little girl who lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up. She's obviously not so little now, but is in need of your prayers.

Keegan James Dondlinger was born yesterday, November 23, 2012, but was due March 4, 2013, three days after my own grandson is due. He weighed 1.85 lbs, but he looks very well developed for being so young and so little.

He's been able to open his eyes, and to grasp his mother's finger.

5:28pm Keegan has surgery tomorrow at 3 to put in a shunt. Drs can't promise it will help but it might. Can't promise he will live through the surgery

Keegan's Mom's version of the same information:

Well we got the conference over.. Keegan is scheduled for shunt placement surgery tomorrow at 3 PM ... And the geneticist wants to see us again.. Other wise bout the same info with some MRI images that did not look healthy in the least bit

Y'all know what to do.

Couple of other bits of info, all from Keegan's Mom I believe, although Grandma Iris has already given y'all the bottom line from today's surgery.

They did a blood gas today, His hemacrit (oxygen carrying cells) were low so he is gonna need a blood transfusion.

So mom shouldnt answer the phone when she is still half asleep... Yes he is getting blood today and yes he is still on the books for surgery... sorry for any confusion I might have caused

well surgery officially started and will take bout an hour

The neurosurgeon just came in to talk with us. Said the surgery went well and we should start to notice his head getting better in the next couple days

This Old Cat is feeling more postitive, and I felt pretty positive about the surgery yesterday when I found out about it.
