Could Texas once again become the Republic of Texas?
Without question, the Nov. 6 election will be a do-or-die, make-or-break, Rubicon-crossing event. If the presidential election goes one way, we get a do-over. Well be given the opportunity to take the first step on a long, arduous journey back to our political and economic roots. If it goes the other way, federalism and balance of power will continue to be edged out by an overreaching federal government and an imperial presidency. Socialism will have an unbreakable hold on the economy, and a centralized government, rather than a free market, will determine business winners and losers.

Jackson’s views are not grounded in anything other than Jackson’s nationalistic sentiments, which have nothing to do with the actual Constitution or the views in 1789 of those who ratified it.
Consider something as simple as the “Perpetual Union” language from the Articles. The Framers were extremely familiar with the idea; they had the words; and they chose to exclude the concept.

Now let me remind you, that the freedom we have enjoyed since the 1700’s was not negotiated. It was bought with the blood of Patriots and Tyrants. If a split ever happens it will be the same again. The “right of states to secede” will be irrelevant.

I watched in my young formative years the USA struggle to defeat North Vietnam. Even as a child I knew one well placed nuke would have ended that war and saved 10's of thousands of US lives. So If the USA refused to nuke North Vietnam you're telling me the USA would nuke a seceding state? If they did that the civil war would quickly become a revolutionary war, with DC destroyed. Put the bong down.
If Texas wants to do this, they better do it soon, all of those California businesses they are so proud of stealing from California, bring with them the horde of Californians that destroy everything they touch like a horde of locusts. 10 years Max, and Texas will be as solidly blue as Massachussets, until it turns into Detroit, when the locusts will fly off to the next prosperous red state.
What is stopping the rest of the nation from using nuclear weapons to completely annihilate Texas?

Too late, Texas has been over run. Whites will soon be the minority in Texas and when that happens if Texas secedes it will secede to Mexico not an independent Conservative Republic.

I suppose so, I was thinking more along the lines of from the western edge of the Sierra Nevadas to the eastern edge of the Appalachias with some exclusion zones for Chicago, Dearbornistan and Austin.

Per your logic, it is unlawful by the supreme law of the land (treaties) to explode nukes in the atmosphere.
To be practical, it's logistically stupid, and politically stupid, and no one will follow that command.
