Jane Pitt sent her son Brad, the actor, a message yesterday: She doesn’t like his liberal politics. She doesn’t like his Hollywood values.
Mama Pitt, a Christian, didn’t express her disapproval directly.
She did so, indirectly (and cleverly, I think), in a letter to her hometown newspaper, the Springfield, Missouri News-Leader, responding to the suggestion of another reader that Christians should not vote for Mitt Romney because of his Mormon faith.
“I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer,” Mama Pitt urged, “before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.”
She added, “Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama – a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”
Jane Pitt’s letter had to resonate with her prodigal son Brad.
It says – indirectly – that he is not a Christian. That he has cast his lot with the ungodly occupant of the White House. That he condones the mass murder of the pre-born. And that he rejects the Word of God, which declares homosexuality an abomination.
The actor may think his liberal politics, his Hollywoodvalues are mitigated by his good works.
Indeed, he and his domestic partner, actress Angelina Jolie, have donated money to organizations providing humanitarian support to people affected by the crisis inDarfur.
He is a co-founder of Not On Our Watch, a Hollywood organization that focuses global attention on “mass atrocities,” excluding, of course, abortion.
And he founded the Make it Right Foundation, which built affordable, environmentally “sustainable” new homes in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
But as Jane Pitt would advise her son, all his seeming righteousness is like filthy rags in the eyes of God.
For by grace we are saved, through faith. It is the gift of God, not of works.
Gutsy woman, that Mrs. Pitt. Good for her!
Brad allowed Hollywood to woo him into its pit.

The atheist Willard Romney hasnt given a penny...
and hasnt built anything...
Who is closer to the Christian ideal here ???
Romney gave $3 million to charity just last year. In keeping with the Mormon faith he gives at least ten percent of income every year.

Perhaps Pitt just makes more of a show of what he does while Romney does his charity quietly.
(Not defending him. I don’t know his record in that regard.)
My cuz used to go to U of Mizzou and when the 2004 election almost ended, Pitt went back to Mizzou to show his “documentary” about Kerry and obviously the girls went nuts.
Once he got out of the auditorium, the guys were jeering him calling him “fag” or “traitor”.
Mr. Romney probably gave more $$$ last month than Obama, Biden and Bill Clinton gave to charities in the last five years combined, Mitt just doesn't boast about what he gives.
Mitt Romney has built plenty. Did you do ANY research prior to making your claims?

That business is busy building multimillion deollar ugly religious buildings and malls and tourist resorts for the rich
but has never built one hospital or soup kitchen...
The hospitals are built by Christians...
The soup kitchens in the Mecca of the Mormons, Salt Lake City, are built and run and paid for by the Christians...
During Katrina WalMart and the Christians fed and housed the victims...
The Mormons in their yellow TShirts turned up 10 days later and long after FEMA when the danger and the need was all over...
Same in Haiti ...
Same during the tornadoes in April last year...
There was neither hair nor hide of any Mormons where there was no TV cameras...
Nobody remembers seeing them in TN where we lost several peoiple and many houses were destroyed...
Again WalMart Food, water, generators, clothes) and the Christians...the Church of God (always there), the Baptists (thank you Baptists for all the long hours of help), the Catholics (thank you sweet Catholics)

Willard needs to start helping other people...

He also had things to say about people who loved his neighbors and helped “the least of these” like Brad Pitt...
