Tom Hoefling: "I will shut down every abortion facility in the country"
Tom Hoefling for President 2012 ^ | June 11, 2012 | Tom Hoefling

Posted on 06/11/2012 9:17:17 AM PDT by EternalVigilance

"All officers of government in this country, in every branch, at every level, have as the first obligation of their sacred oath the protection of all innocent lives within their jurisdiction.

Should I be elected to the office of President of the United States, I will keep my oath.

Justice Blackmun, in Roe vs. Wade, admitted that “of course” the child in the womb is protected by the Fourteenth Amendment, if they are a person.

Since it is self-evident that they are a person, my first act as President, after having sworn the oath, will be to publish a presidential finding to that effect.

My second act will be to ask for the resignation of anyone in the executive branch who will not act accordingly.

My third act will be to order the closing of every abortion facility in the country, as per the explicit, imperative requirement of the Supreme Law of the Land.

'No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law.'

'No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.'”

So the Preamble is the Law of the Land, now?

Until you do something about it, Roe v. Wade is still the Law, and abortion will remain legal.

You would be laughed out of court and you would be no better than Obama ruling by decree.

If you vote for Romney, you will be doing NOTHING but ASSISTING in the statist overthrow of the Repubican party. You don't want to see it and don't see it because you are only looking at Obama "the great and powerful" omnipotent Oz against whom, you have convinced yourself out of blind fear, resistance would be useless. You're not paying attention AT ALL to the rest of the picture and the OTHER predtator that is waiting to grab you while you're so fixated on the scarecrow Obama.

I KNOW that you cannot see that, yet. BUT SOME OF US DO.

>>even as you are on a thread pushing everyone to vote for Romney<<

I stated that I would be delighted to vote for anyone who could beat Obama. I even gave my opinion of Romney himself.
Sorry you’re so confused.

>>If you were Catholic<<

Again, I’m sorry you’re confused.

The ALTERNATIVE is to use your presidential vote to, in essence, turn down the fire instead of leaping from pan to flame.

No. Voting for this person is not turning down the fire. Do you really intend to say that reelecting obama is turning down the fire?! Put the bong down man.

You erroneously assert that there is no downside to reelecting obama. Unless you also assert that this nobody can win [which you have not] then you're simply voting for the nonromney. Sorry, in this context, that's just stupid.

The president will be either Obama or Romney. What you're saying is that it's better to reelect obama than vote for romney.

If that's you, you're part of the problem.

While you’re right about ruling by decree you’re off in left field somewhere with the preamble attack. Read the 5th and 14th amendments. If Congress passes a law defining persons to include the unborn Roe is void and unborn children are protected under the 5th and 14th Amendments. Even Blackmun understood this simple logic.

All medical offices are strictly regulated..even abortion clinics.

You are grossly misinformed, ignorant or a troll.

I'm pretty sure he is "he". EternalVigilance is Tom Hoefling.

Am I wrong?

No. You are correct.

We already do "take a stand" and at this point we need to vote for anyone who can get Obama out.

And you would pay a steep price for it. The return on investment in electing Romney, especially in a landslide, would be bleak and debilitating because you would have allowed fear to manipulate you into voting for a person who has ALWAYS operated against your own interests. See Romney's record, and see my tagline.

Why are you lying ansel?

I never said “Reagan was adamantly pro-choice.” nor did netmilsmom. I said did support abortion at one time, when he was Gov of California. “Early in his California governorship he had signed a permissive abortion bill that has resulted in more than a million abortions.” from http://www.issues2000.org

Roe v. Wade is still the Law

Courts don't make law. Article One, Section 1 grants that power only to the Congress.

All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

The judiciary is constitutionally-empowered only to make constitutional, lawful decisions in particular cases that come before them.

The executive is vested with the duty to enforce the Constitution and all constitutionally-valid, duly-passed laws.

You, along with millions of your fellow Americans, sadly, have bought into a fundamental Big Lie, an anti-republican, anti-constitution, judicial supremacist Big Lie that is destroying this free republic more than just about anything else I can think of. One which has already destroyed more than fifty million innocent, helpless, defenseless little children.

So the Preamble is the Law of the Land, now?

Yes, it is, being part of the document and its statement of purpose and all.

You would excise it out, eh?

I don’t think you will get through to these people. Last time I saw someone post your argument of choosing between Obama or Romney, this was the reply.

*************************************

No, we want them both to lose. Badly. An absolutely humiliating defeat for them both...

Works for me. So why hasn’t Congress done this? (Again this has to be done by Congress, not decree.)

Romney will be nominally pro life. Obama is a disciple of Singer. There is no question that on this issue Romney will get the unborn baby vote.

OK, I understand the concern about damaging the brand - but I will hold, and did hold, Republicans in congress as responsible for brand damage as Bush. They have to have some backbone, nobody ever promised them an easy stroll in the park - if they didn’t realize that this is war, then too bad for them.

We have the Tea Party now, and these folks understand the difference between the man and the brand, and they should lend some spine to congress, if not to the presidency.

If Obama wins, and that is the only realistic alternative to Romney, I’m afraid 2014 and 2016 elections are just fantasies, and worrying about damage to the brand would be much like watering the lawn while the house is burning down.

One of the problems the GOP has is her eagerness to scuttle flawed leaders (and which aren’t?) if the press latches onto a foible. Know why idiots like Pelosi and Reid and Biden and Debbie W-S still have power? Because even when they say or do something completely moronic (which is often) or corrupt (which is almost as often) the party unifies behind them and props them up until they get their feet back under themselves.

Not so the GOP, with the smallest misstep, leading lights of the party are ready to dump all over someone who has heretofor performed heroic feats of political bravery and gamesmanship. While on the one hand, I don’t think the party should turn a blind eye to wrong action (Denny Hastert’s featherbedding, for instance), I think they are far to eager to destroy their own - the way they did Newt, for example.

I, too, am looking for the perfect leader, but He won’t come by the ballot box. Until that time, I will vote first to save my country from the likes of Obama (the party be damneed - I put my country ahead of any party), and second to promote the conservative philosophy of liberty, personal responsibility and small government - but I’d rather be doing that promotion in a country I recognize than in one where I will be squashed for even thinking such thoughts.

Why won’t you answer the question? Your entire thread is based on shutting down abortion mills and yet you refuse to explain how you would do it.

If its good enough to use for your campaign then its good enough to explain how.

Otherwise I suspect you are just using the abortion issue to further your own agenda.

I used to trust you, until I saw this:

Nope. You must be mistaking me for another mom. I have a long posting history of supporting Cain, Newt, dabbled in Perry and Santorum. They all left me. Now I’m “Anybody that can beat Obama.”

If Romney decided not to run tomorrow (or something delightful happens at the convention) I would be doing a happy dance in the streets.

Only a RomneyBot would claim not to be a RomneyBot.

Damn straight I will. But the price I’m paying is NOTHING like the absolute destruction of the country by the Obama administration and his ilk. I love my country more than I detest romney.

Read MY tagline.

Really? Then why do private groups do stings on them to show how filthy some are and how medical waste is mishandled?

Are they just catching ones falling through the bureaucratic system?
