Sin is defined by God; I would never presume to speak for Him.

Of course you can do so if you choose.

I think it is a greater sin to let 0bama win a second term. Remember, since 1981 we have had 20 of those years with prolife presidents. Where are we in this country with abortion?

Not voting is a sin? Give me chapter and verse. Voting is a right given to us by the US Constitution not something required or to my knowledge a ‘sin’.

Second, in a two party system any failure to vote for the least offensive candidate is mathematically equivalent to half a vote for the most offensive candidate.

Hmmm, let's see.

One party is running a pro-gun control, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-socialism candidate from Chicago.

The other party is hell-bent on running a pro-gun control, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, and pro-socialism candidate from Massachusetts.

Boy howdy, that's some two party system!

If Romney had had a (D) next to his name while he was Governor, you would know what he would be? A successful two-term Democrat looking forward to continuing Obama's legacy in 2016.

"two party system any failure to vote for the least offensive candidate is mathematically equivalent to half a vote for the most offensive candidate. By refusing to vote for Mitt Romney (as is your right) you will have essentially voted for Barak Obama."

========================================================

While you are mathematically correct, my point is my vote is accountable to The One who created math, and is beyond math.

If 1 = sin and 2 = sin I cannot vote for 1 or 2 without sinning so I must vote for 3.

From a worldly standpoint 3 = 1, but from a spiritual standpoint 3 = 3.

I want to know where the flaws in my reasoning may be.

Since you asked, your primary flaw lies in what is either a misunderstanding or non-understanding of the concept of grace. That, and your logic is convoluted. Otherwise, you're good.

You tell be which to vote for:

Satan or Ba’al

Or is the sin in the participation of such endeavors? One only needs to look to Exodus to find the answer.

No. It is not a sin to vote against the incumbent -closest-thing-to-the-AntiChrist I’ve ever seen.

Romans 6:1

6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?

In God’s system we are guilty if we are guilty and innocent if we are innocent. There is no “proving.” It is or it isn’t. We don’t get a lawyer when we face Judgement.

If you join the Mormon church (obviously) or (not many know it) Scientology, it isn’t a sin!

Sin lies only in hurting other people unnecessarily. All other sins are invented nonsense.

Voting for Romney would be voting for the lesser of two evils ... voting for evil whether the ‘lesser’ or not is still voting for evil. IMHO

Did you vote for John McCain? I did. And I consider McCain to be a complete and utter piece of crap.

Brilliantly put. After all, ‘What hath light to do with darkness? Ye are children of the light...’

It is completely beyond me how anyone who considers himself a social conservative and a member of the vast ‘Christian Right’ could possibly justify voting for this guy.

Just so we're clear: Killing a defenseless Adolph Hitler is still a sin, right?

Lying to your grandmother that your grandfather never cheated on her is still a sin, right?
