The picture is featured above and is also goes on to state that it was a meeting held by the NAACP on my college campus on April 4th. Now this flyer got me thinking as I stood in line to return my books and if you have never returned books on the last day of the semester, let me tell you, I had a lot of time to think.
I decided that even though most people want to believe otherwise, most of us are not Trayvon Martin at all. As a matter of fact, I am nothing like Trayvon nor would I want to be. It leads me to ponder this question, what does it say about America that so many people think they want to be like Trayvon Martin?
My parents were fairly strict on me as a child and although I hated it when I was younger, I now understand why they were and it is driven home a little more every time I see a cautionary tale such as this. I was never in trouble outside of the normal realms of being a bored teenager. For that reason I never found myself in a strange neighborhood after dark being pursued by a member of the neighborhood watch. I would have never dreamed of bringing drugs or stolen property to school mostly because I was raised with a strict code of decency and in my community we were all good people who didnt take part in such things. Also the fact that even at the age of seventeen I am fairly sure my father would not have been opposed to snatching me up for such deeds didnt hurt as a deterrent.
This story involved my parents quite a bit and I didnt even realize it until I started to frame out the article. Much of the things that have been unearthed about Trayvon Martim since his death are a result of absent parenting in my opinion. My father always instilled in me to respect everyone but most of all women. For that reason I would never issue public Internet statements through various social media sites using disparaging and misogynistic terms. I was raised in an atmosphere where that was not permitted and if you broke that rule there was a consequence.
From the time I was young my parents both taught me that there was something to be said for hard work and honest living. My parents, both of whom are successful in their respective fields of employment were great role models to support their claims. Because of that influence and example I am now on my way to being a successful person in my chosen field and never once have I thought it would be cool to dress in baggy jeans with a hood covering my face. Not to say that I dont own any hoodies but the hood is more of a useless addition to the sweatshirt and not to be worn. I am a firm believer that how you dress sways peoples initial opinion. I try to dress my best when I am around town and meeting people so I am taken seriously in public. For the same reason that I assume the guy wearing a badge is a police officer, I also assume the guy walking around with his pants falling down and wearing an oversized hoodie is a criminal. If you dont want to be known as a criminal then dont wear the uniform.
I have no middle finger pictures online nor do I own any gold teeth and although I do have one tattoo it is covered a majority of the time and no one is any the wiser. The point I am trying to make here is that Trayvon went to great lengths to convince people that he was a thug, living the lifestyle of a ghetto super star and there are consequences to this decision.
If I had to choose, I would say that I am George Zimmerman. George Zimmerman is a devoted husband who works diligently and does volunteer work with disadvantaged people and at risk youth. He also volunteered in his neighborhood and most people only have good things to say about him. Zimmerman has goals and career dreams that he hopes to attain much as I do and because of that I can understand the hard work that goes into pursuing a dream.
Much like Zimmerman I volunteer in my community and do what I can to help out. Until I moved to Tennessee for school I was a volunteer firefighter and still take part in many activities to help out those less fortunate.
Also I am a concealed weapons permit holder and this is the reason that this case was originally of particular interest to me. It wasnt until later when Zimmerman was crucified in the media with lies and omissions that I took up the cause. (Check out my story on the media bias in the Trayvon Martin case.) Anyone who carries a gun (legally) understands the responsibility and the risk you take in defending your own life. Because of this I know that unless some new unforeseen evidence surfaces, Zimmerman didnt shoot Martin on a whim or for kicks, as some would have you to believe.
So I will ask again in closing, are you really Trayvon Martin? Do you want your kids to be Trayvon Martin? I for one, try everyday not be Trayvon Martin and to live my life as a productive member of society and a point of pride for my parents not a point of failure.
All Martin had to do was go home....he doubled back, and paid the price....that is the reality the parents have to deal with......and the black community contributed to Martin’s death by not discouraging “Thug ware” clothes styles that make kids look like jail birds who are portrayed on TV and movies as cool......and that is reality....
I will say up front I have not delved into the whole Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman matter.
That’s obvious. There are two sides to this story as there are to all stories. There are the facts, backed up by police audio and eyewitnesses. There is then the case brought by the race baiters and the special prosecutor. Zimmerman should just skip country and go somewhere that has no extradition treaty with this country. He won’t get a fair trial, and his life has already been destroyed by the liberal media.

This is a lie that has been perpetrated by the MSM by using edited tapes. The fact is the 9/11 call in which the operator asked him to stop following GZ replied "OK" and broke off the surveillance and told them he was returning to his truck to meet the cops. He was then followed and attacked by TM. Eye witnesses saw it happen. TM was not standing his ground but initiated the confrontation. GZ, BTW, is not pleading stand your ground but simple self defense.
The reality is we most likely will never know what happened that night. But we do know that if Zimmerman had never pursued Martin, this tragedy would not have occcurred. To call a junior in high school a “savage” is gut wrenching. This could have been my kid who walks to the store quite often. BTW, I guess you don’t hold the two lead investigators in high esteem either as they asked the local D.A. for an arrest warrent. They stated to the D.A. that they DID NOT BELIEVE Zimmerman’s story. It was the local D.A. that felt “Stand you Ground” law would make a conviction difficult.
You don’t know that Martin attacked Zimmerman, no one knows. What I do know is that the two lead investigators did not believe Zimmerman’s story and wanted an arrest warrent. This is when the stand your ground law became an issue. I know there is a dead seventeen year old and to call him a “thug” and a “savage” is heart wrenching to me. I would not want my life and character to be defined and judged at age seventeen. Trayvon was young and stupid, a lot of kids are at that age. But he didn’t deserve to die.
Holy Crap, where are the convictions and arrests? According to your definition, Zimmerman’s a thug.
Stealing that
Wake up dude, use your brain.
Zimmerman had injuries on his backside, Trayvon didn’t. Duh, who attacked who??
By the way, in case you didn’t know, there’s no “right” to jump, assault, or attack someone, just because you think they’re shadowing you.
Did you follow the Duke Lacrosse case? I think it is harder to follow this case if you are not familiar when the media's and the Left’s (the race pimps) pattern of racial and emotional manipulation here.
If a seventeen year old boy jumped you and started smashing your head, broke your nose and was wailing away on your body, you would not be thinking of him as an innocent anything. “Kids” this age and younger have been jumping whites in packs and beating them since last summer in Chicago, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Denver, Cincinnati, etc.
If it happened to me, I would not hesitate to shoot. If you want to get shot or go to prison, act the racist thug. If you choose to give up your life and health for the sake of a thug, that is your choice. A thug is a bad azz who thinks it s a good idea to jump someone they perceive weaker than themselves or their mob.
Yes I have been following this case, There are NO WITNESSES that saw Martin jump Zimmerman. Two witnesses saw the scuffle with two figures on the ground. No one knows who instigated the fight. LEO addmitted as much during the bail hearing. As an ER nurse for over 14 years, Zimmerman’s injuries appear to be minor. If his head had been slammed into pavement he would have been immediately transported to the nearest trauma center. Usually EMT’s and LEO’s insist on transportting due to liability factors. Once there he could have refused treatment, but for what reason? There appear to be two small cuts and I still haven’t seen the broken nose. There appears to a rush to judgement on both sides. Medical records will be released due Florida’s sunshine law. What do you want to bet there aren’t any? This will severely impact his claim of a severe beating. I think Zimmerman’s has an anger problem, did you hear the tape? He demonstrated anger towards Martin before he even got out of his truck. His history shows a hothead.
No, Zimmerman isn’t dead.
You don’t even know how to read, do you?
Thank you, George, for ridding society of the parasitic black thug, Martin. It’s just too bad that the society you aided is full to the brim of idiots too stupid to realize how you have aided it with your sacrifice, and now they persecute you.
Americans deserve their fate, and I hope you and yours are at the front of the line on the day of the Fall, BLOC77.
Excellent article! Thanks for posting it here on FR, Mark.
Zimmerman’s attorney offered the prosecutor a copy of his medical record at the bond hearing as they had not bothered to obtain the record. Keep an open mind.
On the full 911 tape when the person said, “We don’t need you to do that.” (after asking if he was following Trayvon and Zimmerman responded, Yes), Zimmerman clearly said OK. And it was not a directive....keep an open mind....
Zimmerman passed a “voice stress test” given by police the night of the shooting which probably contributed to his release. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/04/06/tagblogsfindlawcom2012-blotter-idUS214913966420120406
Keep an open mind.
You and I do believe in justice and that will be done through the court. There are arguments on both sides and mostly it is nonsense because of all the spin and lies.
I despise it that race pimps, including the president, are stoking black hate and racist attacks on whites for the cause of taking away the right to self defense. They could care less about Trayvon. He’s a pawn. They don’t care about the white people who have been attacked in Trayvon’s name either. Human life is dirt to them. Disarmed, the American people can not resist their radicalism. They have the blood of innocent people on their hands and have driven another deep wedge in the country for their power to overcome the constitution and rule.
We will know more as the trial unfolds, if the judge decides the charges are not politically motivated and justified. I’ll be surprised if he does not dismiss the case. There is no case.
See you around Freeper town. :)
