Billion-Dollar Obama Machine Would Cut Santorum to Ribbons
Reaganite Republican ^ | February 16, 2012 | Reaganite Republican

Cutting-to-the-chase, Rick Santorum is a very weak and uncharismatic candidate, one who was almost completely ignored until all more savory choices where destroyed in Romney/PAC/MSM/negative attacks. Basically, he’s still here because nobody bothered to even look at him, let alone slander. Much like Obama, he's become a 'blank slate' that allows people to see what they want to see... but why delude yourself out of some false sense of necessity?

With his hollow record of accomplishment, zero leadership experience, whining demeanor, and loser’s aura in the wake of getting trounced by 19 pts last time out (as an incumbent!), Obama will simply paint him a nosy church-lady and intolerant kook as he CUTS HIM TO SHREDS in November.

Since the Left would love for Santorum to be the nominee, you’re not hearing a peep from them- yet.  But the the progs would have a field-day with Ricky, given the chance. Obama himself plans a billion dollar campaign... most of it negative, sure as you're born.

And as noted by VodkaPundit, Santorum does like to pontificate on almost any topic you care to serve-up, and therein lies another problem: Ramblin' Rick doesn't seem able to stay on-message -or really to even have one: a walking, talking disaster in the presidential election (even worse if he managed to find his way to the Oval Office).

All I know is this: I didn’t just fight for three years, day-in-and-day-out just to hook up my wagon to a lame nag like this... rather go to a brokered convention and beg Palin to run.

Never thought I'd miss Bachmann and Perry so much either... WHY did they even pack it in and hand so much to Santorum? Either would have been far more preferable from where I'm standing.

If Newt’s third comeback (pending) doesn’t materialize in time, maybe we can get somebody else to step up in Orlando… but no Santorum, please.

If you think Santorum cannot win, and most Americans have an unfavorable opinion (well over 50% of Americans in two recent polls) of Newt Gingrich, therefore making it impossible to get elected, what is the answer you have....Romney?

I don’t think so.

The margin was 17.4%.. in a wave year for the dems..in a blue state..against a famous name.

A lot of factors at work that year, so keeping it in context..unlike Trump..would be helpful.

Gingrich, whom Santorum has described as his mentor back in the days of the Reagan Revolution, has about ten times the leglisative experience and record of success as Santorum, he has a plan that details exactly HOW he intends to reduce government and increase freedom and prosperity for Americans, and he is clearly the superior choice for 2012.

GODSPEED NEWT GINGRICH.

Finny, bravo for a masterful post. It's a keeper. I agree 100%.

Oh Yeah! It would be sickening, the above-the fold headlines if McCain was president. Think about it.

“Housing Depression Unstoppable”.

“Millions on Food Stamps. No End to Hunger in Sight”

“Unemployment UNEXPECTEDLY Revise Downward Again”.

“Another Six Bank Failures as...”

“National Debt Reaches Catastrophic Levels”.

“Nothing Done to Improve the Job Front”.

“Unprecedendent Extension for Unemployment During Depression”

“Are Food Stamps the New Depression Soup Kitchens”

It would be murderous. With the 5th column MSM running interference for Obama, there is none of that. Even an unbiased MSM would be hitting him fairly hard. If McLame was president, the news would be suicidally depressing daily.

The REAL unemployment numbers would not be hidden had McCain won, and the phony inflation numbers would never be accepted by the press hacks. You would hear about nothing BUT high energy costs, and people so discouraged from looking for work that the government must make millions vanish from the rolls every month. And McCain is clueless as to how to help. Well, they’d have been right about that, anyway. Bob

LOL!! boy, thanks for all the research; but I had no damn intentions of pulling all that up just to refute a bunch of silly lies they cut and pasted off of Romney’s or the WH web site. People like that don’t really deserve this much effort. You sure gave them plenty of stuff to try to refute though! I wonder when they are going to post Newties and Mittens life record of political positions? You don’t see them doing that; which is why it’s a waste of time trying to debate the point. I have no problem with Newt—but I do think the Dims would make a federal case of every one of his divorces, and a lot of fools would assume that is a sign of a weak character.

You don’t know m from Adam to throw such a preposterous claim like that in my face. Fact is, I don’t look to any leader or politician to save me or our country. I have a real bad feeling about the accelerating slide into hell, and it may be too late. I will do all I can to get the usurper out of the WH. In the meantime I come here to get lifted up by friends here who, for the most part, are like minded. Don’t judge me by a few random thoughts I throw off the top of my head that’s so unfair and cruel words from you isn’t helping anything. What the heck do you want me to do? Throw knives at the frontrunner for this or that or that or that vote because its upsetting to you? Will that help you? Fine Rick Santorum is a fake conservative. Happy now? I voted for Gerald Ford against Carter BTW. Sheesh now I have a headache

Santorum has been seen as a strong right wing republican since he entered the senate. He ain’t perfect, but who is. The freepers trying to character assassinate Rick at this stage are transparent.

Santorum is a feisty campaigner. He went strong after Perry, Paul and recently Mitt. He is a far superior campaigner than dole and McCain. I agree with you on Newt. I cast my vote for him already. I also think despite his many strengths, the process is showing how vulnerable he due to his negatives. He could make a comeback, but I ams sensing he is going to have a hard road ahead unless Santorum really stumbles.

“There are dozens of seasoned and committed Freepers on this site that are convinced Santorum will be a disaster for the GOP. Good, conservatives and patriots with the stripes to prove it.”

Santorum just hasn’t got ‘it’ and would lose to Obama imho... that’s about as big a disaster as one could ask for, yes

I feel Gingrich is being passed by by a lot of sheep that ran to Santorum when Romney’s attack ads made them uncomfortable voting for Newt... THINK for yourself, sheeple!

The best candidate is being tossed foolishly... because he’s divorced and was charged with ethics violations in a corrupt, politically motivated effort led by Nancy Pelosi.

It’s nuts-

Santorum cannot beat Obama, winning over the TEA Party is A LOT different ballgame than beating Obama!

Newt is a fighter who makes his so-called ‘negatives’ irrelevant... the GOP base is so susceptible to negative attacks on the candidates they’ve been pushed to the candidate who has said and done as little as possible... except when voting for earmarks, that is.

Oh, and supporting and CAMPAIGNING AGGRESSIVELY for Arlen Spector isn’t ‘baggage’? It is to me-

THINK for yourself, sheeple!

That is the biggest problem we face primarily because of the MSM.

“Enough with the Bob Dole type bland, uninspiring candidates. I’m not a Newt supporter (Cain was my man), but at least Newt has some charisma.”

A-MEN... Bachmann and Perry would have been far preferable for the same reason.

The candidate needs to debate and CRUSH Obama to win.

Santorum? That dog won’t hunt.
