Billion-Dollar Obama Machine Would Cut Santorum to Ribbons

Cutting-to-the-chase, Rick Santorum is a very weak and uncharismatic candidate, one who was almost completely ignored until all more savory choices where destroyed in Romney/PAC/MSM/negative attacks. Basically, hes still here because nobody bothered to even look at him, let alone slander. Much like Obama, he's become a 'blank slate' that allows people to see what they want to see... but why delude yourself out of some false sense of necessity?
With his hollow record of accomplishment, zero leadership experience, whining demeanor, and losers aura in the wake of getting trounced by 19 pts last time out (as an incumbent!), Obama will simply paint him a nosy church-lady and intolerant kook as he CUTS HIM TO SHREDS in November.
Since the Left would love for Santorum to be the nominee, youre not hearing a peep from them- yet. But the the progs would have a field-day with Ricky, given the chance. Obama himself plans a billion dollar campaign... most of it negative, sure as you're born.
And as noted by VodkaPundit, Santorum does like to pontificate on almost any topic you care to serve-up, and therein lies another problem: Ramblin' Rick doesn't seem able to stay on-message -or really to even have one: a walking, talking disaster in the presidential election (even worse if he managed to find his way to the Oval Office).
All I know is this: I didnt just fight for three years, day-in-and-day-out just to hook up my wagon to a lame nag like this... rather go to a brokered convention and beg Palin to run.
Never thought I'd miss Bachmann and Perry so much either... WHY did they even pack it in and hand so much to Santorum? Either would have been far more preferable from where I'm standing.
If Newts third comeback (pending) doesnt materialize in time, maybe we can get somebody else to step up in Orlando
but no Santorum, please.

There seems to be a coordinated carpet-bombing attack on Santorum on FreeRepublic over the past 24 hours. Far too many threads and posts attacking Santorum for it to be happenstance.
Who are you guys working for?

Don’t know who they are working for, but I’d like to work for America and stop criticizing all the republican candidates.
At this point no one is focusing on what’s good for the country and sadly that includes the candidates themselves.
I’ll vote for any of them against Obama but at this point they (and we) have created a ridiculous negative narrative.

I get the feeling that you don’t like Santorum. If all the other candidates implode, it’s really not his fault.
Attacking the guy who is probably the most decent candidate in the race, after Palin dropped out, won’t help your cause—whatever it is.

All of our candidates are weak.
Our entire party is weak. In fact, I would say that the only thing the GOP stands for is its own re-election, but it doesn’t.

Amen. A brokered convention is my hope. I’ll pull the lever for Mr. Charisma if it comes to that, but until then ... I ain’t gettin’ on that train. I’ll wait for the next one. Ugh. Santorum is not a tea party patriot. He’s big-government all the way.

The candidates are not weak, they have experience, ideas and conservative positions.
And they are giants as soon as we look at imbeciles like Obama, Pelosi, Biden.

Well, this weak and uncharismatic candidate just bested the Romney machine in three states that Romney was supposed to win, and he’s currently leading in Michigan, where “Romney” was a household word even before his dad served as governor.

whining demeanor
I'm no fan of any the remaining three... But my wife (a Newt supporter) always calls Santorum a "whiner." Funny that was in the descrip...

That's uncalled for.
There are dozens of seasoned and committed Freepers on this site that are convinced Santorum will be a disaster for the GOP. Good, conservatives and patriots with the stripes to prove it.
Many have been here far more than a decade and have been fighting this war against godless communism for that long or longer.
Rather than impugn motive due to your emotional reaction, why not engage on the merits, or lack thereof, of their arguments?

Romney has a very similar problem to Santorum: An inability to change the discussion/narrative and a vulnerability to being painted as a religious nut.

Santorum is still standing, broke and unencumbered from owing his arse to the money contributors who want pay back for their investment.
