Romney could be even more dangerous than Obama - conservatives are mobilized to oppose anything Obama demands, but Romney will come with a GOP chorus demanding that conservatives not do anything to undermine a Republican president. The last time this happened we ended up with Medicare Part D, the Department of Homeland Security, the TSA and the Patriot Act - and Romney is well to the left of Bush.

Do tell. That poster seemed to be suggesting that we turn FR into exactly what JR says that it is NOT, i.e., a "liberal debating society".

I honestly do not get that viewpoint. It's not like we conservatives don't spend countless hours dissecting every imaginable topic, issue, and figure on the national (and world) stage, already.

Personally, I got over arguing with liberals and other like-minded imbeciles a long time ago. FR is so popular, precisely because of JR's strict rules about the format here.

Thinly veiled? I've been a Romney supporter in 2008 and now.

I've been a Freeper since 2000. If my extensive posting history isn't conservative, that's news to me. I don't agree that Romney is a RINO, and I think he is by far the most likely candidate to defeat Obama.

I haven't been touting Romney at FR, but I have been carping about the heavy-handed censorship. I don't think that a conservative forum with 'Free' in its title should be proscribing discussion of GOP candidates, especially as to the judgement of whether a candidate is conservative.

I am not going to take orders from anyone as to which candidate I support. If that gets me banned, so be it.
