....We the people are not the subjects of government. Government should be the subject to the people, Perry said in a townhall at Granite State Manufacturing.
Perry repeated his plan to organize a part-time citizen Congress, institute term limits for federal judges and upend the bureaucracy in Washington, D.C.
The GOP candidate criticized the Washington power structure.
Im reminded of what one of your citizens of New Hampshire, Granite Stater by the name of P.J. ORourke once said: Giving money and power to government is like giving teenagers whiskey and car keys. This election the American people, they want the car keys back, Perry said.
Perry acknowledged that his new plan might be criticized by some in the nations capital, but he argued his intention isnt to please the establishment.
My wife and my family and pretty much I think the dogs love me, Perry said. Im not going to Washington D.C. to make any friends. Im going to Washington D.C. to make a difference. I love this country.
....Im the outsider whos willing to step on some toes. I want to force Congress to balance the budget, and if they dont, I say cut their pay and send them home, Perry said....

I remember that goofy poll this past summer showing Obama winning Texas. I about fell out laughing when I saw that. Obama is about as popular as this year's drought.
Yes, and it smells like a photo op?
"we should be able to figure out a way to shut down the border."
Nothing will work if you keep encouraging more to come and stay illegally by rewarding those who already came and stayed here illegally (with dream acts, pathways to citizenship, etc.). When the magnet is strong enough, they'll always find ways to come. People always copy what worked for others - as proven by the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act, and Texas's standing as the state with the 2nd highest number of illegals next to California. (Yeah I know its profitable in the short term.)
It was a joke. A FReeper had irately posted that he'd GIVEN $1Millon to Fox. It was funny.
Dont ask me why, cuz I dont know.
I don't either but Jim Rob posted once that he loved Texas.
And on another thread he just posted this.
You must have a plan to deport a bunch of mexicans then.
Texas turns blue between 2016-2020
"Another telling statistic: Texas added nearly 1 million children under 18 95% of them Hispanic, says William Frey, a demographer for the Brookings Institution. "That's the future of the state," he says. "It's a diverse one."
You can practically hear him gloating when he says "diverse" -- code for "they're allllll gonna hate you Texas crackerheads, nyah, nyah, nyah, bwaaaahahahaaaaa!!" </evil liberal Dr. Frankenstein>
In liberal codespeak, "diverse" = "hate(s) you evil white conservative people and want you to die", or some approximation.
Balderdash. Rick Perry will go down in history as the Texas nominally-Republican governor who gave Texas to the Mexicans and the White House to the Democrats for the next 200 years.
And bought us a civil war.
Do you honestly think that Texas will no longer be a part of the United States, and be run by the Mexican government?
Also, do you honestly think that the democrats will win the next 50 presidential elections?
And bought us a civil war.
Do you honestly believe that Rick Perry is going to cause a civil war?
As is the case with you, altura, it's a mystery why any true Conservative would hate Texas. Yes, I've seen them here and that hatred existed long before Rick Perry announced his candidacy.
From my viewpoint, any of the states where freedom and individual liberty are cherished are worth holding in high esteem. I don't hate the other states (those in yellow) but they are in dire need of a Conversion to Conservatism.
Tough guy!!!!?? Get tough with illegal immigration!
Yet another sissy from a State so commie or gay he is embarrassed to list it on his profile page.
Probably one of those little square States that nobody cares about.
If you send me your address I'll FedEx you some pride. If FedEx actually delivers there.
LOL! Good one Eaker!
Thanks shield.
Cheers!
LOL!!! Could Fedx even handle such a weighty task? Would you even be able to entrust such precious cargo to them? An ego is an easy thing to bruise. LOL!!!!!
Tell me whats so good about TX. You have loads of illegals, a RINO gov, Sheila Jackson Lee, Austin and severe drought. Ive been thru your state several times from pan handle to the southern border. I saw nothing exemplary about it. Its like any other place in the states. Other than illegals the only other thing in long supply are chest beaters.

“Too bad he has gone to Mexico City to make friends”
Oh I know! Having good relations with one of your largest trade partners... How stupid is that?
After all of that B.S. you are still too ashamed to mention which pissant little failure State that you call home.
Or are you part of the “occupy” loser crowd living in a box?
LOL!
