President Praises ‘Occupy Wall Street’ Protest
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 8 Oct 2011 | John Semmens

Posted on 10/08/2011 11:54:55 AM PDT by John Semmens

As the “Occupy Wall Street” protest entered its fourth week it received a ringing endorsement from President Obama who contrasted the protesters’ “sincerity” and “selflessness” with the “hypocrisy” and “self-serving greed” exhibited by the so-called “Tea Party.”

“The Wall Street protesters have put their whole selves into the fight for social justice,” Obama declared. “They’re not just showing up when it can be conveniently scheduled between working hours and tending to the kids like the right-wing opponents of my policies. They’re here day and night, rain or shine. Their dedication is a model of what it will take to transform America.”

It wasn’t only the methods of the protesters that the President found to his liking. Some of their specific policy prescriptions also met with his approval.

“As admirable as their tactics have been, let’s not overlook their refreshingly innovative ideas,” Obama urged. “A lot of them parallel what we’ve been trying to do with our stimulus program. Their call for a trillion dollars in additional infrastructure spending and another trillion in ‘green’ spending confirm that I’m on the right track.”

“Even better, their suggestion that the link between work and income be severed is a bold stride toward an ideal I thought was still off in the distant future,” the president enthused. “I mean, the biggest infringement on a person’s freedom is usually the hours he has to work to put food on the table and a roof over his head. If government were to ensure that these needs would be met a new era in human liberty could be reached.”

The president reserved his highest praise for the protesters’ demand that all outstanding debts be cancelled. “I realize that we in government have been thinking too small,” Obama said. “Our squabbling over how high to raise the debt ceiling is petty and bourgeois. All we’re doing is postponing the resolution of the problem. If we cancel all outstanding financial obligations we would eradicate the oppressive burden of debt that is hampering our ability to govern. It is an ingenious remedy for our current and potential future fiscal problems.”

Democratic campaign advisors are hoping that the President’s adoption of the “Occupy Wall Street” agenda will revive his faltering reelection prospects. “A program to free people from wage slavery would liberate more people than Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation did,” campaign advisor David Plouffe boasted. “And debt forgiveness would free the 61% of Americans who are home owners from servitude to mortgage bankers. I think there are enough votes to be gotten there alone to give the President a landslide victory in November of 2012.”

They need sleeping bags and laundry services as they are ill-equipped to handle a brutal NY autumn.

the best ones are the fools who can’t even answer why they are there and then use McDonalds while decrying Wall street LOL.
They then go to use their I-Phone to call on Verizon, to then purchase their shirts off SEIU and then settle down listening to their Ipod and go on their apple computer

Yep they really hate Wall street LOL

You know if we had a proper media who can tell the truth they would point all of this hypocrisy out and how much it now smells and how many more rats are moving in on that area due to food being left out

Actually it reminds me, anyone in NY where they can get about 30 rats in a box and then let them go at night where they are sleeping.

God bless them! Their creativity, their spontaneity, their idealistic goals are to be admired. Just ask Nancy. She, Barry, Soros, M. Moore all are on the same page.

I made 533 bucks a month when I was 20. I earned every penny. I also moved on. These kids are the most spoiled bunch I have seen in years. If you give them a 45,000 dollar salary they would be dead in a year.

It sure is annoying to read these satirical stories which are wrapped in the guise of actual journalism.

One reason it's so annoying is that it takes so little exaggeration to create these articles.

I mean, you start reading a piece like this, and at some point you say to yourself "this must be a joke" and then you check the source and realize that it is a joke.

The problem is, sometimes when you check the source, expecting a joke, you realize that it is actually a serious story.

And tragically, given what we know about the sentiments of 0bama and his socialist/corporatist ilk, even the parodies are so on-target that they might as well be real. They still ring true.

With Sarah Palin's decision not to run, I am rather crestfallen at the current field of GOP Presidential hopefuls. Aside from Cain, I just don't see a maverick who can lead us out of the 0bama Wilderness and into the Promised Land of liberty and prosperity.

I do find myself hoping that someone like Gingrich or Santorum might make some headway in the GOP race. Maybe Newt's "baggage" should be overlooked in the interest of the Republic. Maybe Santorum will gain some traction.

The only thing I know for sure is that I favor Herman Cain at the moment, and I utterly reject the hand-wringing notion that Cain is not qualified for the Presidency simply because he's not a career politician. To my reasoning, that's a plus.

I'm also starting to see some distinct signs of CDS (Cain derangement syndrome) from the Establishment candidate crowd around here.

But I digress...

How would you feel if you saw your plans working exactly as expected. This is an Obama-Jarrett-Axelrod project fo sure. Just another of the Obama in 2012 schemes.

Not too much need to be “creative”. This guy thinks we pay his way to play golf and take his family on vacation. Isn’t that the job description for the “Occupier in Chief.”

“The sad part is that this is probably exactly how he feels.”

I’m starting to think John Semmens and BHO are identical twins separated at birth. His precision in channeling Obama’s world view is uncanny.

That said, this statement only expressed half of Obama’s perspective: “I mean, the biggest infringement on a person’s freedom is usually the hours he has to work to put food on the table and a roof over his head.”

The other half is that freeing these protesters from such mundane responsibilities will give them that much more time to protest whenever and wherever they please. It’s hard to picture BHO being upset by this prospect.
