Poll: Who Would You Like To See As Sarah Palin’s Vice President?
A Time For Choosing ^ | 8/10/2011 | Gary Jackson

Posted on 08/10/2011 3:12:15 PM PDT by curth

Been a lot of talk lately about who would make the best Vice President to serve with President Sarah Palin.

Vice Presidential candidates are chosen for a number of reasons. Often they are chosen merely because they can deliver a state or a region that can help the presidential candidate win. There are better reasons though.

We fully expect Sarah Palin to have a 50 state strategy for victory and while someone from certain regions may be helpful more than others, we’d like to see a different criteria.

Anyone who knows Governor Palin’s record knows she and her team hit the ground running the day she was sworn in as Governor of Alaska, and worked 16 hour days tackling Alaska’s problems. We think President Sarah Palin will be looking for someone with strong leadership skills of their own. Someone she can give a portfolio of their own to and help her Revive, Renew, and Restore America.

That said, we have had some requests to do a poll on the question of who should be President Palin’s VP.

Below are some potential candidates for the job. We’ll let our readers decide if they fit the criteria THEY would like to see the Vice President have, as well as if the ones listed have the “right stuff,” as mentioned above.

If you chose “Other” please leave a comment letting us know who, and why you think they are the one.

The poll will close next Wednesday. We look forward to seeing the results.

Most of the time the term RINO is used around here it means 80% of the party. Is that the case with you? Are there any non-RINOS who can win a statewide office in your view?

Anytime a Republican achieves an office of power he immediately becomes the enemy. I got a fool on another thread trying to convince people that McD and Boehner are as bad as Obama. This is nuts.

I find the term to be less and less useful as it is applied to almost everyone of any significance in the Republican Party. Thus, I don’t use it if I am trying to make an actual point.

I worry about anyone who’s just been elected. We NEED them to stay where they are for awhile for their VOTES. But if they run and don’t get elected, do we lose them and everything they have to offer?

Me, I would pick Chuck Norris.

50-state landslide. (ALL the Wal-Mart crowd, including those who "never vote".)

Cheers!

We could arrange to have the Speaker of the House or the President Pro tem of the Senate or the Secretary of State take over if anything happened to the President.

I'm all for the original Founders' Constitution, but looking at Biden and listening to him, I have to wonder if we really need Vice Presidents with an official residence, a staff, a jet, and all the other perks.

Senator Marco Rubio

Bingo! That’s the winner.

From there they can appoint the others, such as John Bolton as Sec of State

I was initially for Paul Ryan because he has budget credibility, but for someone to make a dynamite ticket, I would go with Mark Rubio.

Rick Perry might make a popular VP candidate but I don’t know that he would help her much in Texas (ha). However, he’s never lost an election.

I like West but I think his being black would detract in this case. Obama has ruined it for blacks for a while.

Bachmann is a none starter, one woman is enough on a ticket.

So I guess if I have to pick one it would be Rubio.

Stop your lecturing. 80% of the Republican Party is RINOS. They are just as bad as Obama as they are allowing our country to go down the tubes. I suspect you know that.

Not a true statement that when a Republican achieves office he becomes the enemy. They usually prove they are RINOS and not necessarily an enemy. It’s not nuts.

I use the term and will continue to do so when it applies.
