Been a lot of talk lately about who would make the best Vice President to serve with President Sarah Palin.
Vice Presidential candidates are chosen for a number of reasons. Often they are chosen merely because they can deliver a state or a region that can help the presidential candidate win. There are better reasons though.
We fully expect Sarah Palin to have a 50 state strategy for victory and while someone from certain regions may be helpful more than others, wed like to see a different criteria.
Anyone who knows Governor Palins record knows she and her team hit the ground running the day she was sworn in as Governor of Alaska, and worked 16 hour days tackling Alaskas problems. We think President Sarah Palin will be looking for someone with strong leadership skills of their own. Someone she can give a portfolio of their own to and help her Revive, Renew, and Restore America.
That said, we have had some requests to do a poll on the question of who should be President Palins VP.
Below are some potential candidates for the job. Well let our readers decide if they fit the criteria THEY would like to see the Vice President have, as well as if the ones listed have the right stuff, as mentioned above.
If you chose Other please leave a comment letting us know who, and why you think they are the one.
The poll will close next Wednesday. We look forward to seeing the results.
Who Would You Like To See As Sarah Palin's Vice President
Congressman LTC Allen West FL 36.51% (23 votes)
Senator Marco Rubio FL 34.92% (22 votes)
Congressman Paul Ryan WI 9.52% (6 votes)
Other [leave comment] 7.94% (5 votes)
Governor Bob McDonnell VA 4.76% (3 votes)
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann MN 1.59% (1 votes)
Governor Bobby Jindal LA 1.59% (1 votes)
Governor John Kasich OH 1.59% (1 votes)
Governor Rick Perry TX 1.59% (1 votes)
Governor Scott Walker WI 0% (0 votes)
If you go by the Constitution; Rubio is not eligible.
Jindal is natural born, jus soli, that being said, he is RINO....will not vote for him again. Just sayin’...
Are you sure the Rubio’s parents were not citizens. This has also been said about Bobby Jindal. Of course, if we were Democrats it wouldn’t matter.
Bolton would be funny as he would then preside over a bunch of fools in the Senate who blocked his confirmation as US representative to the UN. However, for practical reasons, I prefer Rubio.
Rubio has won statewide in a big state. Rubio would be groomed for the nomination in the future. The biggest problem with Cheney was it left an opening for the GOP to nominate McCain in 2008. And as others have said, Rubio is member of a not that cohesive but growing identity group,.
Piyush Jindal is natural born, jus soli, that being said, he is RINO....will not vote for him again. Just sayin’...

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann MN 3.32% (7 votes)
Governor Rick Perry TX 2.37% (5 votes)
Governor Bob McDonnell VA 1.42% (3 votes)

That raggedy ole piece of paper was thrown away in ‘08. Homer treated the Stonecutter’s most sacred document better.
“OK explain Wests rush to join the Black Caucus,...”
Like the Godfather said “Keep your friends close, your enemies closer.”

Like the Pigford vote???
Jindal is not natural born..neither of his parents were citizens at his birth and he has openly said so.
Yep
Not familiar with it hence I did not respond about it.
However, Congressmen whom I like and support will not always vote the way I wish. FR is not representative of the way most Americans think, unfortunately.
Rubio would probably help win; but I am on the fence as to whether is being backed by the establishment of RINOS. He can conservative all he wants; but I want him to prove he is the real thing.
bttt
The real question, though, is why do we still have Vice Presidents?
He can’t change that he is hispanic and Allen West can’t change that he is black. I wouldn’t ever want them to because their skin color doesn’t matter. In other words, I don’t care if they are pink with purple polka dots. I care if they are real Americans and will do the right thing.
In case something happens to the President is why we still have VP.
