For some time now, residents of some US cities have noted occasional incidents of seemingly random, racially motivated violence in which young Black males are involved. The hot weather and bad economy seem to be combining to generate a small but possibly significant uptick this year. The national media are doing their best to avoid looking too closely at this disturbing phenomenon, and perhaps for good reason. What the United States doesn’t need is a media firestorm that triggers copycat violence.
Nevertheless some attention should be paid.

Look folks, the “firepower” y’all are talking about is entirely inadequate in a large mob situation.
I toted 500 rounds of 5.56 and encounters with a “large mob” of NVA regulars reduced that to 120 rounds, which I shared with my buddies, cause they were about out.
Thankfully, “Spooky” on station overhead (Puff the Magic Dragon)that night greatly discouraged the mob. 7.62 mini-guns tend to do that.
One or two or three shooters against a probably-soon-to-be-fully-armed mob is not a pleasant thought.
One of the reasons that governments are instituted among men is to secure domestic tranquility. If our government is NOT doing this, then it has lost much of its legitimacy.

So, what I want to know is why the cops have not grabbed a flash mob thug, pulled his cell phone records, found the clown who sent him the message, pulled HIS cell phone records, etc., until they find the individuals initially responsible.
Then descend up them, beat hell out them for “resisting arrest” and drag their mangled carcasses in for booking.
Sure hope it never comes to that but am ready if it does...****sigh****

How do flash mobs form? Social Media. Communication and coordination via text, right? So why are we giving away free cellphones to the indigent? We are providing aid and comfort to the enemy...

This is so debased, but it fuels the fantasies of a huge number, if not the majority, of young Black men.
Mobs aren’t troops.
They won’t crawl over their own dead to complete the mission or to get you.
I think a CCW permit holder has at least a 50% chance that a mob will break with with first few casualties, esp. if a couple are gutshot and screaming.
Wouldn’t want to be the guy who had to find out though.
And the aftermath would suck, too. You’d have move and move quick.

ACORN (or whatever the various spin-offs are called now) will probably get congress to give them free texting and internet so they can ‘community organize’.
Some folks come out of prison with a form resolve to make themselves into something better so as not to go in there again. I’ve met a handful. Others go through it and learn other lessons. Lil’ Wayne what did he learn? That’s obvious from his sermon.

It would be ideal if law abiding and trained citizens could have roof mounted and armored chain guns and a perimeter with
claymores. Then these twittered flash mobs could be reduced in numbers rather quickly. It could also help lower the deficit
by eliminating some welfare recipients.
