The beautiful, bright and charming Michelle Obama may have recently wrapped up her week-long tour of South Africa and Botswana but shes left behind messages of hope and inspiration.
With daughters Malia and Sasha and mother Marian Robinson in tow, the First Lady met with young women and encouraged them to become active in combating HIV/AIDS, poverty and other areas of social change. At a US-Africa youth leadership conference, Obama spoke to 70 young girls about how each could make a difference. So make no mistake about it: There are still so many causes worth sacrificing for. There is still so much history yet to be made, she said. We still struggle every day to perfect our union and live up to our ideals. And every day, it is our young people who are leading the way, she added.
Returning home to the U.S., Michelle Obama has been busy traveling throughout New England, heaping praise upon members of the military and speaking of the need to help youth. On Thursday, Mrs. Obama met with family members of the Vermont National Guard, saying that the National Guard, its reserve members and their families deserve the nations thanks and support. Her speech also highlighted Joining Forces, an organization founded by the First Lady and Jill Biden to encourage individuals and businesses to help military members and their families.
Mrs. O quickly moved on to Massachusetts where she addressed a crowd of 100 attendees at a Friday evening Boston fundraiser. The First Lady touched audience members by revealing her husbands deep sense of compassion and commitment to the American people. I see it in those quiet moments late at night, after the girls have gone to bed, and when he is at his desk reading the letters that people have sent him. The letter from the woman dying of cancer whose health insurance would not cover her care. And I see the worry creasing his face. I hear the passion and determination in his voice. You would not believe what these folks are going through, she said.
The First Lady admitted that while her husbands administration has made great strides, there are many Americans who still need our help.
Let me be the first one to say it - “BARF!”
..The beautiful, bright and charming Michelle Obama

“The beautiful, bright and charming Michelle Obama”
*GAG*
Ha ha exactly. Puke uggggghh FUBO!!!!
I couldn’t make it past the first sentence. Someone needs to get Janet a dictionary because I think “ugly, dull, and boorish” when I see MO.
The only possible answer is there are two Michelle Obamas. The MO the media is talking about is some brilliant, savy, world traveled celebrity. The one that doesnt like America and looks like a wookie is first lady.
These Presidential jets need to be replaced with old fashion sailing vessels that take weeks to cross an ocean

I understand your frustration and had the following thoughts when reading the article.
1. yes, young people can be in the forefront of ending the devastation caused by HIV/AIDS but only from living a chaste (either abstinent or with a spouse) life and to say humans are not capable of sexual restraint is to desecrate humans as creatures without self-determination, ie animals
2.voiced support for the troops from the POTUS and FLOTUS is merely lip service that they don’t actually believe. I live at an unnamed military base overseas where during the winter they don’t turn on the heat in the houses of the troops because of mandated energy use reduction and well there is no where else to save.. so no heat for the troops... wear a sweater.
3.Mr. Obama is not the messiah. He is only a man. He cannot cure cancer and he cannot stop suffering it is the nature of our human existance. For michelle to think he can is narcissism as defined by the DSM.
“...First Lady met with young women and encouraged them to become active in combating HIV/AIDS...”
Has Manchelle tutored the “Won” concerning his trips to Man’s Country?
Hygiene starts at home, Manchelle.....
That will about do it for me this evening. The stomach can only take so much.
“The beautiful, bright and charming Michelle Obama......”
With expression of bewilderment on my face I ask when did “Sluggo the First Wookie” become “beautiful, bright, and charming”?
What the hell am I missing here. . . ?
:)
Although I have met liberals in the officer ranks- I’ve not sensed ANY deep affection or confidence in the current “CinC” amongst the military.
Tough row to hoe if you can’t inspire confidence in our fighting forces.
Simpletons that they are, poor boys and girls from the lower echelon of life.
They are in fact our heroes, and the current regime has no understanding of this fact.
