There were two candidates on the GOP ticket in 2008, John McCain and Sarah Palin. Both had young daughters involved in the campaign. Both have written books about the experience. Guess which book was celebrated and which was savaged?
The media's character assassination of Sarah Palin knows no bounds, as she's been smeared as everything from "evil" to "unintelligent." But "Palin Derangement Syndrome" is a hereditary disease, and the media have continued their multigenerational malice toward Bristol Palin in reviews of her new memoir, "Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far."

I, however, will not be buying her book.
Ignore, ignore, and ignore again. They don’t matter; just in their own eyes. Governor Palin didn’t ride a powerful man’s coattails to power (unlike Hillary), she made it on her own. These people are PEA GREEN JEALOUS; hence PDS. They’re afraid she’s gonna be President and THEY ARE FRANTIC TO STOP IT. Exhibit A is what I call Barack Hussein Obama, or what we get when they get their way.
Saucy? Since this is about Meghan McCain, I assume the reference is to Béarnaise - or possibly Beurre Blanc.
As far as I know McCain’s book didn’t deal with her being unsupervised at 15, getting drugged or drunk, getting pregnant, and THEN taking the rapist to the stage of a National political convention posed as a clean-cut family unit in the making.
And that’s before Levi’s forthcoming book and his version of the story comes out. It will soon get worse.
Meghan McCain’s own behavior is noted in the reviews. But she was an adult. And she didn’t bring it onto the public stage of the campaign.
Having read neither, and pretty certain I never will read either, they still are not equivalent stories. You can’t expect equivalent reviews.
Yeah, we get it. You want to save the pubbies from suicide in nominating that evil Palin woman. Go change your diaper.
Boy are you feeling brave this morning. I’m staying as far away from you as the Internet allows. You can’t make statements like that about any member of the Freeper royal family. Um,Um,Um.
if McLettuce had become pregnant , had an abortion, and told all about it, the book would be required readin in our schools
yeah we get it...........idiot
The only time Meg will ever be saucy is if she runs across Hannibal Lecter.
>>> if McLettuce had become pregnant , had an abortion, and told all about it, the book would be required readin in our schools yeah we get it...........idiot
That made no sense at all.
>>> You want to save the pubbies from suicide in nominating that evil Palin woman. Go change your diaper.
With the braintrust like you in her corner, how can Palin fail?
>>> You cant make statements like that about any member of the Freeper royal family.
Fortunately I don’t need to worry about that as the Op was opening a discussion on literary reviewers!
You still need to change that diaper, child, you’re stinking up the place.
I am not surprised that you would pop up with the most liberal point of view on this thread. The big surprise is that it was not a pro-fag statement on a homo’s gone wild thread.
I used to have a liberal friend who would call everybody she didn’t agree with a “Hillbilly”. One day I asked, “What exactly do you mean by that when you call someone a Hillbilly?” She turned beet-red and couldn’t answer and was angry with me. I suggest the same thing when these name-callers use words this way. They are revealing their true disdain for anybody not in the elite and intellectual class. So the question here would be, “What exactly do you mean by that when you call someone “trailer-trash”? Watch them squirm.
Since when did the libs ever judge a non-fiction book as a morality tale? Whatever Meagan (sic?) or Bristol WERE, what they are NOW, matters more. Bristol is obviously a good mom, Meagan is obviously a tramp. Deal with reality every so often, maybe your world will make more sense to you then.
God man, are you incapable of telling the truth?
Bristol is a 20 year old activist for conservative causes, and pro-life, she is mother to the second most hated, non aborted child in America.
Bristol is also a speaker for the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy and is a Teen Abstinence Ambassador for the Candies Foundation, a teen pregnancy prevention organization.
This is the kind of young lady that conservatives respect and admire as leaders, not attack.
When you are a leading advocate for abstinence and life on the national stage, yet also a single mom, then it would be almost impossible to NOT publish your story for that audience.
The book title is Not Afraid of life, get it?
The book, written by a mother who is our most well known national abstinence spokeswoman, and the mother of the second most famous, non-aborted child, and the daughter of Americas most famous pro-life mom, has written a book for her audience of young females about what has transpired in the last three years, and the effect it had on her, and her message to them, today.
When you are 20, and a combination of abstinence leader, famous for not having an abortion, yet also the most famous young single mom in America, all at the same time, then there is a book length story that you need to share with your audience of young girls that you are striving to lead to abstinence, and to becoming pro-life, they have questions that need to be answered.
My personal guess is that the book will be a recommend for conservatives.
That’s a long outdated picture of Bristol. You should put one with her new, post-surgery face. Very Kardashian.
