As far as I know McCain’s book didn’t deal with her being unsupervised at 15, getting drugged or drunk, getting pregnant, and THEN taking the rapist to the stage of a National political convention posed as a clean-cut family unit in the making.

And that’s before Levi’s forthcoming book and his version of the story comes out. It will soon get worse.

Meghan McCain’s own behavior is noted in the reviews. But she was an adult. And she didn’t bring it onto the public stage of the campaign.

Having read neither, and pretty certain I never will read either, they still are not equivalent stories. You can’t expect equivalent reviews.

Boy are you feeling brave this morning. I’m staying as far away from you as the Internet allows. You can’t make statements like that about any member of the Freeper royal family. Um,Um,Um.

I am not surprised that you would pop up with the most liberal point of view on this thread. The big surprise is that it was not a pro-fag statement on a homo’s gone wild thread.

Since when did the libs ever judge a non-fiction book as a morality tale? Whatever Meagan (sic?) or Bristol WERE, what they are NOW, matters more. Bristol is obviously a good mom, Meagan is obviously a tramp. Deal with reality every so often, maybe your world will make more sense to you then.

When you are a leading advocate for abstinence and life on the national stage, yet also a single mom, then it would be almost impossible to NOT publish your story for that audience.

The book title is “Not Afraid of life”, get it?
The book, written by a mother who is our most well known national abstinence spokeswoman, and the mother of the second most famous, non-aborted child, and the daughter of America’s most famous pro-life mom, has written a book for her audience of young females about what has transpired in the last three years, and the effect it had on her, and her message to them, today.

When you are 20, and a combination of abstinence leader, famous for not having an abortion, yet also the most famous young single mom in America, all at the same time, then there is a book length story that you need to share with your audience of young girls that you are striving to lead to abstinence, and to becoming pro-life, they have questions that need to be answered.

My personal guess is that the book will be a recommend for conservatives.

For those of us whose lives have not traversed the golden, rose-petal paths of fairy tale perfection, I find much in Bristol’s book that is deeply human and comforting. The scenario you pant is a two-dimensional caricature of how those situations evolve. Those of us for whom such crises are more three-dimensional have no trouble understanding the struggle of hope for the redemption of the child’s father. Often hoped for, often unrealized, and often leaving a similar wreckage of poor decisions by the partner of more tender heart. Good book.
