It was pitched as a classic grudge match between the left and right of network television.
And when Daily Show host Jon Stewart entered the 'lions den' of Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, the results did not disappoint.
Despite trying to maintain his comedic detachment, Stewart lost his temper during the 15 minute interview as the two TV heavyweights battled over perceived liberal biased in the mainstream media.
The conversation started jovially, with Mr Wallace joking to Stewart: 'After months of evasion, disconnected phone numbers and press agents saying 'who are you again' it appears he has run out of excuses.'

But the atmosphere quickly turned serious as Mr Stewart, angered by questions over his own 'liberal' bias, snapped.
The audience were shown a transcript of Mr Stewart describing Fox News as a, 'relentless agenda-driven 24 hour news opinion propaganda delivery system.
Mr Wallace the asked the comedian: 'Where do you come up with this stuff.'
Stewart responded: 'Uh, it's actually quite easy.'
After repeated prodding, Wallace then played a clip of Mr Stewart comparing a video of Sarah Palin's recent bus tour to a herpes commercial.
Mr Stewart erupted: 'You're insane... Here's the difference between you and I.
'I'm a comedian first. My comedy is informed by an ideological background, there's no question about that.
But the thing that you will never understand...is that Hollywood, yeah, they're liberal, but that's not their primary motivating force. I'm not an activist. I am a comedian.'

Rising in temper again, he said: 'You can't understand, because of the world that you live in, that there is not a designed ideological agenda on my part to affect partisan change because that's the soup you swim in.

Was really surprised to see his maniacal behavior with Wallace, obviously has a mental disorder.
The next morning, my wife said she heard me giggling like a girl...okay, maybe I was, but I had forgotten how wonderful it was, having not watched that stuff for about forty years. Creative. Well written. Well performed.
The stuff now is all garbage. The sad thing is, people snap it up. It brings to mind "Ideocracy"...

His whole shtick- that he’s a “moderate” and that he’s “skewering the media from both sides” is a joke (and not a ha ha one). I mean, it’s not like the leftist drones that watch his show are going to stop watching when he finally admits the truth that he’s a hardcore progressive.
Republicans, on the other hand, are crazy, irrational and filled with hate. It's good to laugh at such stupid people. And anyone who treats Republicans are serious people is -- of course -- an "activist" by pretending that Republicans have something of value to contribute.
For Stewart, this is all very clear and simple.
Somehow I don't think so. Fox News is what he "swims" in, so his approach is different from talking heads on other networks, but he never struck me as much of an activist, somebody who's first priority is change or power. I suspect he's a lot like his father -- but working in a different environment his views are a little different.
Stewart is someone who gets his digs in and his point of view across. That may not be intended as a thought-out political agenda, but he certainly does impose his opinions on the audience in a more aggressive and forceful way than Wallace does.
I suspect it's like that for some comedians. In their own mind they are just doing what they do, just being their obnoxious selves and going for the laugh. To outsiders, though, it may add up to a more political performance than what actual political journalists provide.

The Conservative was likely the guy who fetched the water for them.
Two things. One: Wallace, conservative? Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Two, are you thinking what I am thinking? With that sensitive-like-a-sore-tooth anger, I think roomie Weiner is not the only one tweeting his privates all over the country. I bet Liebovitz wants people to “look at me now” too.
He got pretty sick with a tropical disease...
I had a post I kept for a while that described the Hollywood types who served...Eddie Albert (Bronze Star with “V” at Tarawa) Don Adams, James Doohan (lost his finger on DDay) David Niven (who left the Army in 1933, but re-entered in WWII and saw combat in Europe)
Not to mention Gable, Stewart and such.
They aren’t all no-loads like Stewart and those like him.
Well, to tell the truth, I saw Borat with my wife and some of my family. All through the first half of the movie I was laughing my head off, but then it started to get to me. He would go in, lie to decent people who tried very hard to be nice to him, and then make fun of them. After a while, that got old. He would take their hospitality and mock them in return. So, yes, it was funny for a while, but morally bankrupt, to the point where I gradually ceased laughing and started to feel sick.
I found him to be completely off-putting.
The Arrogance.
I could only watch thirty seconds of the damned thing. Jon-Jon is such a prima donna. He thinks his excrement doesn’t have an aroma.
Very true.
I would describe Stewart’s entire response as:
“Yeah I’m a liberal but I don’t deliberately allow my liberalism to further my agenda. LIKE FOX AND CONSERVATIVES DO.”
Really, who’s buying that lie? It’s blatantly obvious even to liberals that’s what they do. His whole Hollywood defense is totally gone after the release of those interviews with Hollywood libs on video saying that’s exactly what their agenda is, and that they are deliberately pushign their agendas through their shows and movies.
Nobody buys his crap.
And “Stewart” isn’t even his real name. He’s chosen to hide his original name because he’s embarrassed about his Jewish roots.
I’ve posted something like that- some time ago. I’m fascinated by the contrast with today’s Hollywood celebrities.
That makes sense.
And his ego is so massive (like Obozo’s) that in his mind, he has all the right answers, and anybody who disagrees is thus either “stupid” or intelligent, but “evil”.
The problem with trying to prove in a short segment how totally left-propaganda the MSM is, is that there’s so much material. Where do you begin? There’s something new ever day, every single day, on Newsbusters. Every day. For years. And that’s just one site. Every single day.

Somewhere in the crowd I heard a call for adjournment, and I seized on this as a means to end the attempted takeover. But the other side demanded I identify the one who moved for adjournment.
I looked over the audience, realizing that there were few willing to be publicly identified as opponents of the far left. Then I saw Duke and said, “Why I believe John Wayne made the motion.” I heard his strong voice reply, “I sure as hell did!” The meeting and the radicals’ campaign was over.
Later, when such personalities as actor Larry Parks came forward to admit their Communist Party backgrounds, there were those who wanted to see them punished. Not Duke. “It takes courage to admit you’re wrong,” he said, and he publicly battled attempts to ostracize those who had come clean.
I met Don Adams back in 1986- he came to Toronto every year to tape a sitcom for CTV and was a regular customer of the shop I worked at. Decent fellow.
