I had a post I kept for a while that described the Hollywood types who served...Eddie Albert (Bronze Star with “V” at Tarawa) Don Adams, James Doohan (lost his finger on DDay) David Niven (who left the Army in 1933, but re-entered in WWII and saw combat in Europe)
Not to mention Gable, Stewart and such.
They aren’t all no-loads like Stewart and those like him.
I’ve posted something like that- some time ago. I’m fascinated by the contrast with today’s Hollywood celebrities.
