Sarah Palin Reportedly Aquires $1.6M Home in Scottsdale, Arizona (photos)

The Palins have reportedly purchased a lovely desert home in North Scottsdale, firing rumors of a presidential run, a go at Kyl's Senate seat, among other things.  To me, I'm not sure that means she's running... it's a long flight from the Lower 48 to AK, and she's got endless business down here.

A local site ArizonaCentral reported that a just-closed deal on a secluded luxury home in far north Scottsdale might be the Palins making a secretive buy, and it seems this is the one.

It's an 8,000-square-foot, dark-brown stucco home with a guard gate with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a six-car garage, a swimming pool and spa, and a full basement with a home theater, billiards room and wine cellar.

Safari Investments LLC paid $1.695 million cash for the home in a deal that appears designed to cloak the identity of a high-profile buyer.

Safari Investments is a Delaware limited liability firm formed May 12, the day before the deal for the Scottsdale home closed. No officers are listed on the Delaware filing, and that state doesn't require the names of individual associated with limited liability companies to be disclosed. High-profile people often buy homes through LLCs to maintain their privacy.

Alan Kierman, an attorney with the Phoenix law firm of Mack Drucker & Watson, is listed on property records as the contact for Safari Investments. Asked point blank by The Arizona Republic if Palin and her husband Todd Palin bought the north Scottsdale house through the company, Kierman said he had no comment.

It still ticks me off that the media complained about Sarah’s “expensive” wardrobe and Michelle runs around on our dime like the Queen of Sheeba.

Buck up, Cowgirl. Surely you have learned by now that the media consider all Progressives to be brilliant, beautiful, and stylish while all conservatives are dumb, ugly and frumpy.

That’s funny, I had the exact same thought after viewing the aerial view.

As someone who lived in Alaska’s beauty for 20 years, I see no way that they’ll be happy in that brown, boring desolation. I couldn’t handle it. Just shoot me.

Keep in mind this is all rumor and is based only on the fact that a lawyer representing the buyer said, "No comment." I would think that anyone moving from Alaska to the lower 48 to run for office would move to somewhere more centrally located. The key states are California, Texas, Florida and New York. AZ is close to only California.

No matter who purchased the home the real estate investor made a hell of a deal according to the following.

....
In north Scottsdale’s scenic desert, the former foreclosure house was purchased by real estate agent and investor Ian Whitmore in March 2010 for $805,000. He sold it May 13 to Safari Investments, but said he doesn’t know who is behind the limited liability company. The home was half-renovated when it was taken back by the lender JP Morgan Chase Bank in 2009.....

Scottsdale has pockets that would be affordable these days, even though there are some very expensive areas there and especially in nearby Paradise Valley. You can also find places in Phoenix ‘near Scottsdale’ that would give you close access to the Scottsdale restaurants and shopping.

Check out the photos of the pool area, and you might have a different opinion of the house. The front of the house does not suit my tastes either, but the inside and back looks to be stunning. I am not set up to easily post photos, so I will rely on fellow freepers to help out here. The pool area almost made me drool.

“I hope it offers her some peace from all the BS she has to endure from the Marxist punk media.”

They’re not the only ones putting her down. Here God has given us our heart’s desire - a candidate with qualifications as good as Reagan’s, and we spend our time finding fault with her.

“Aint gonna offer her much peace if they post the GD thing on here with the friggan street address now is it?”

...agreed. The MSM will post photogs on the hills surrounding the house. She’d be better off buying a penthouse somewhere or a home in the woods with acreage electric privacy fencing.

Have you ever heard of Snowbirds? Sarah will be a Snowbird.

Sarah will be everything. Sarah will be all we ever need. Sarah will be the best thing that ever happened to the U.S.

I hope she has barracks available for the voluntary forces that have vowed to protect her and her family to any possible threat.

I’m very sure there is as we all discuss this many unsavory types already researching strategic entry points to a target goal.

Is this being paranoid” Not in the very least, because there is many a mindless fool out there who believes Obama is the second coming of Christ.

Excellent house. I love the desert.

AND...

She’s absolutely ready for the Zombie Apocalypse right thar.

(I’ve always wanted a house somewhere where I could go in my back yard to sight in a few rifle scopes for an hour or two)

Spent 2 months in Tempe, Arizona (in the summer) a few years ago and loved it!

At first I thought I'd be unable to live in an area without lots of greenery like oaks, maples, etc., but I grew to appreciate the vegetation. The people I met while out and about were SO darn nice. The sense of spaciousness was calming. (I've lived on Long Island 40 years and still miss the openness of my native Illinois.)

It's apparent that Sarah loves to explore nature. As long as she brings along a bottle of water wherever she goes and doesn't singe her fingers on any hot, hot handles of doors of cars which have been parked in the sun she should have a wonderful time.

If you knew anything about geology or the Hawaiian Islands you would know that over eons of years the “hot spot” is moving south and the Big Island is the only island with a live volcano. Another one is brewing to the south of there on the sea floor. All the islands above there are safe and dormant. Kilauea is still spewing lava on the Big Island and that's a good thing as it continually releases the pressure so as not to have the whole mountain blow. In the mean time I enjoy my red wine by my fish pond with orchids all about and bananas right above my lounge chair by the pool. The avocado tree is loaded with baby avocados and the lime and lemon trees are in bloom. The weather today will be around 72 to 82 as it is just about every day of the year. God is good.

“But with this house, they’ll all die of thirst in a week.”

The way the press b!tched constantly when GWB vacationed in Crawford in August. Loved that.

Why Scottsdale?

Aside from it being one of the the most Republican cities in the Lower 48, the chance to sit in air-conditioned comfort, eat popcorn, and watch media vultures die of heat exhaustion outside her gates should be worth almost any price to her about now. :)

And half of Canada lives here in the winter...so why not an Alaskan?

She didn’t and frankly we have no idea if she even bought this place. The actual purchase price for it was just over $800k. Big difference from $1.7m don’t you think?

Yes...Sarah is Lord! LOL!!!

I am throwing in with Herman. Don’t care if he’s a blip on the radar right now. One debate with Prince Obama and it would be game set and match, Herman Cain.
