Please forgive me if doing this incorrectly. This is my very first "thread" to Free Republic. I know very well the power of prayer so I come to my fellow Freepers to join in.
My four year old son has a slew of vision problems and has already had 2 eye surgeries ( on his left eye ) to remove a cataract at 6 months old, an MRI on his brain a few weeks after that and then at 3 years and one week old, he had another surgery to remove scar tissue in his lens capsule and to implant an intraocular lens.
A couple of weeks ago he had another eye movement recording to see where they should move some of his eye muscles to help correct his "null" point ( or focal point ) and to correct his head turn.
The report from the EMR was not written and given to his regular surgeon but he said, at our appointment yesterday at Childrens Hopsital that he's ready at any time to do this surgery but may recommend me to the worlds best pediatric ophthalmology surgeon for either just a second opinion or to do the surgery.No big deal if he does because it's only a 2 hour drive one way...
I know this got long but wanted to give some back ground but I'd surely appreciate any prayers you could send up for my child and his surgeon.

Please let us know how it all turns out. The FReeper Family is awesome when it joins in prayer for one of our own.
Prayers sent for your little one. While this is not easy for either of you now, if this surgery is a success, think of how great this will be for his functioning later. Definitely go see the “best” ophthalmologist and get that 2nd opinion.

Prayers offered. I have a son who will be undergoing surgery in the next little while. Each time I think of it, I’ll pray for your little boy.
