This may have been shown before but I found it extremely interesting. This is a video made, by one who is proficient in Illustrator, of the faked BC of BHO. He downloaded the document from the official WH website and imported it into Illustrator. Look how many 'layers' were added to this thing. And the sloppy techniques that any Illustrator user could spot. But the real question is... nobody cares about this anymore and BHO is the hero of the moment.
“In reality, however, the actual place “of birth” is not the places indicated on these documents, because the State of Hawaii directs the Department of Health to report them as being in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, even when the births occur anywhere else in the world.”
Source please.
When people act ridiculous, shame and ridicule is the proper social response.
I myself brought up the Scopes article once here on FR when the cry went out “We don't even know who the birth Dr. is”.
Not that it was anything other than hearsay, but it wasn't as if there was no link at all to anyone who ever saw him as a baby, or a contemporaneous birth announcement in newspapers no doubt generated when the data present on both COLB forms was first entered into the system (fraudulently you maintain).
Now no birther seems to have ANY TROUBLE AT ALL finding the name Dr. West.
The Nordike twins long form COLB was the gold standard - until the 0bama long form COLB came out - then it was either copied from the Nordike - or insufficient and not at all the same (despite being the same thing).
The fixation (again) about “African” and the pretense that it is new. Because if it said “African” that is wrong, and if it said anything other than “African” well that would be wrong also - because the short form COLB says “African”.
Birthers cried out with wailing and gnashing of teeth that “if ONLY he would release the LONG FORM this would ALL GO AWAY!!!!!!” - and I predicted that it would not at all never in no way ever go away.........
Why release it now? Why the delay? It is a fraud. The data in it is fraudulent. What is he still hiding. YOU CAN'T FOOL ME!
and.....
He cannot ever be a NBC, both the short form and long form COLB prove he isn't a NBC because his father was not an American citizen, dual citizen, foreign adoption.
Eat crow and like it.
[§338-17.8] Certificates for children born out of State. (a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child.
(b) Proof of legal residency shall be submitted to the director of health in any manner that the director shall deem appropriate. The director of health may also adopt any rules pursuant to chapter 91 that he or she may deem necessary or proper to prevent fraudulent applications for birth certificates and to require any further information or proof of events necessary for completion of a birth certificate.
(c) The fee for each application for registration shall be established by rule adopted pursuant to chapter 91. [L 1982, c 182, §1]
Doesn’t say to put “Honolulu” as the place of birth.
You said....
“the State of Hawaii directs the Department of Health to report them as being in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, even when the births occur anywhere else in the world.

There exist layers with no distortion.
We have received several e-mails today calling into question the validity of the PDF that the White House released, namely that there are embedded layers in the document. There are now several other people on the case. We looked into it and dismissed it.
The PDF is composed of multiple images. Thats correct. Using a photo editor or PDF viewer of your choice, you can extract this image data, view it, hide it, etc. But these layers, as theyre being called, arent layers in the traditional photo-editing sense of the word. They are, quite literally, pieces of image data that have been positioned in a PDF container. They appear as text but also contain glyphs, dots, lines, boxes, squiggles, and random garbage. Theyre not combined or merged in any way. Quite simply, they look like they were created programmatically, not by a human.
Whats plausible is that somewhere along the way from the scanning device to the PDF-creation software, both of which can perform OCR (optical character recognition) these partial/pseudo-text images were created and saved. Whats not plausible is that the government spent all this time manufacturing Obamas birth certificate only to commit the laughably rookie mistake of exporting the layers from Photoshop, or whatever photo editing software they are meant to have used. Its likely that whoever scanned the birth certificate in Hawaii forgot to turn off the OCR setting on the scanner. Lets leave it at that.
Since when?
The text displayed by PDF files is text. A PDF is not a graphic file. The text in the typical PDF file is quite easy to search. By default, all PDF files are searchable.
I don't know what this company is selling, but it sounds like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. You don't OCR PDF files, because they aren't graphic files. Why go with a process that is error prone (OCRing is not 100%) when you simple read the text directly from the PDF and get 100% accuracy?
The only reason to OCR a PDF is if the file is password protected. When that's the case, the normal process is to convert them to a TIFF and OCR the TIFF.
Correct, people are confusing the issue by thinking that PDF is an image format.
It is probably a fake, but this isn’t the right proof.
This would make sense, except it doesn't work that way. Not in any of the systems I've worked with, and I've actually worked with (as in under the hood worked with) data systems that scan and process legal documents.
Commercial scanners don't scan and OCR in one operation.
(1) The document is scanned into the system by a high speed scanner, this creates an image file (usually a TIFF for legal documents).
(2) The TIFF is stored. This may be a file system or database.
(3) The TIFF (actually, a copy of the now stored TIFF) is read by a separate system and OCRed, which produces a separate set of data. The original TIFF is not changed by the OCRing process in any way.
(4) The OCR data is sent to a different system (usually a database of some type, and usually a different database than the TIFF is stored in) that allows keyword searches, along with a pointer to the TIFF file.
In general, scanners (even the expensive ones that are only the size of a bread machine, but cost more than a car) don't do OCRing beyond the reading of bar codes. Commercial scanners are frightfully expensive. Using them to OCR text is a waste of their time. They are focused on speed and clarity (getting docuements fed through the scanner as quickly as possible), not OCRing text.
OCRing of the document is done--by a separate computer--on the image after it has been scanned into the system.
Pretty funny, Obama killed Osama because Obama couldn’t produce a real birth certificate. Must really piss Osama off, should he be observing.
Of course, then what are the chances that Obama killed Osama? 1,000,000,000 to 1, I mean in the bizzare symbolic universe?
§338-5 Compulsory registration of births. Within the time prescribed by the department of health, a certificate of every birth shall be substantially completed and filed with the local agent of the department in the district in which the birth occurred, by the administrator or designated representative of the birthing facility, or physician, or midwife, or other legally authorized person in attendance at the birth; or if not so attended, by one of the parents. [....]
Although the parents, and other family members, are under an obligation to not commit perjury when providing the birth information, it is a very rarely enforced statute. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has a report, Birth Certificate Fraud, released 2000, which describes how official birth certificates are obtained using fraudulent information with virtual impunity.
There are also some commentary claiming the Hawaiian authorities use the reported residence of the parents in Hawaii in certain circumstances. See the recent article for one such example:
Obamas Certificate of Live Birth Issued by Hawaiian Health Agency, Not Hospital; Dan Crosby; The Daily Pen; Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Bravo Mr.K.
Really tired of that OCR crap too.
Do you have that link to the Buffalo news. I’d like to see that.
How could they be so stupid??? This has to be on purpose.
A blog is not a “article”. Let us not confuse ‘something someone wrote once’ with a real source, shall we?
Yeah, like that piece of reasoning is really going to fly....
Yeah ,
Except the only problem with that argument is that Hawaii issues printed certificates, not electronic copies. So whether or not Hawaii had OCR turned on or off is irrelevant once the document is printed.
That's wrong. You said yourself in #52 that "The result of scanning a document is a single image file (a bmp, jpg, etc...)," and in #55 that "Scanning is the process of turning a printed document into an IMAGE FILE." If you save that scan as a PDF (yes, you can save an image file as a PDF), you get a PDF graphic file. If there's text on the page you scanned, you just get a picture of the text in PDF format, but the computer doesn't know it's text--it's just pixels. Text in a PDF file generated by a computer program, like Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Word, is readable and searchable because the computer "knows" it's text to begin with. Text on a scanned document is not--unless you perform OCR on it.
Commercial scanners don't scan and OCR in one operation....OCRing of the document is done--by a separate computer--on the image after it has been scanned into the system.
I think you're behind the times. From an Adobe blog entry from November 2009:
If you have a paper document, that you need to scan and also make searchable, you can use Acrobat to do both in a single step. Go to Taskbar Create >> PDF from Scanner and choose any of the 3 document presets (Black & White Document, Grayscale Document, Color Document). These 3 Presets have OCR option enabled by default so you can get a fully searchable scanned PDF in a single click. And I posted a description from another software vendor above.
hahaha why does a BC need to be made searchable? Just show it to us.
the State of Hawaii directs the Department of Health to report them as being in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, even when the births occur anywhere else in the world.
Where? Did you make this up? Or did someone else make it up? Where is this codified in Hawaii law statute or practice?
Simple reasoning for you....
You said something outrageous.
You cannot substantiate it.
Extraordinary claims require substantial evidence.
You have no evidence.
You are wrong.
