The White House has just released this photo of President Obama and other top administration officials watching the live video of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

Agreed. In this moment, President Obama looks serious and looks to understand the gravity of the situation (what is being tasked to these warriors) along with sitting aside and knowing his role (limited) within these minutes of this operation.

He gave the order to go. This could have turned into a Desert One FUBAR which would have ended any chance of the haloed one?s reelection. So I give him props. Also I know for a fact that Hillary?s spouse would never have taken such a chance and would NEVER have made this decision.

I agree with you. Look, one helicopter failed during the mission so the Seals ended up destroying that one. Luckily, that was the only thing that went wrong with the mission. It could had been a Black Hawk scenario where a bunch of Seals are holed in the Compound for many hours while waiting for Marine reinforcements from Afghanistan to fly in and rescue them....if they could survive that long and they can't count on local Pakistani Soldiers for help.

RE Osama Bin Laden. Significant push to take him out months ago. Senior WH staff resisted. This was cause of much strain between HC and Obama/Jarrett. HC and LP were in constant communication over matter – both attempted to convince administration to act. Administration feared failure and resulting negative impact on president. Intel disgusted over politics over national security. Staff resigned/left. Check timeline to corroborate.

IMPORTANT SPECIFIC: When 48 hour go order issued, CoC was told, not requested. Administration scrambled to abort. That order was overruled. This order did not originate from CoC. Repeat – this order did not originate from CoC. He complied, but did not originate.
