It was interesting to watch Bill OReilly begin to turn hostile toward Franklin Graham regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ. He pressed Graham to answer questions regarding the fate of people who live good lives but die without accepting Christ as their savior.
Franklin seemed to handle the question with much more back-bone than his father Billy Graham. (See Larry King interview when King pressed on the same question. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozjLaoPrcQ0&NR=1
The Rev, Franklin answered the question by saying that Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but by me.
OReilly pressed further and became more agitated as he used hypothetical situations that many typically use - such as holocaust victims. (No, he didnt actually ask about the pigmies.) I will leave it to you as to whether you want to see the interview and care to see how Graham did in holding firm. It will be relayed tonight at 11pm and on youtube Im sure by tomorrow.
What I was pleased to hear is that it is irrelevant how WE- feel about it. If we hold ourselves out to be followers of Christ, we do not get to pick and choose which parts of His word we accept based upon our own tastes. What kind of faith can one have if they believe not in the authenticity of the scriptures in their own Bible? Yes Bill OReilly, the Catholic Bible still has Jesus claiming to be the ONLY way. Catholic though I am not, I do still believe they hold themselves out to be THE Christian Church.
Im sure some here saw the interview. I found it interesting how Bill was clearly holding back anger and I feel that if Graham had tried to elaborate further, Bill might have gone on one off his famous tirades. Based upon Bills apparent background, Im surprised he isnt RELIEVED that it is not by merit that we are saved but by grace. I know for one that I have reason to be glad.
I also want to say WELCOME! To those of you who joined the CB Patriot Project at cbPatriot.com. We have received some wonderful letters and referrals to groups such as Tea Parties across the country.
If youre not familiar, the CB Patriot Project is a plan to keep us in communication with one another when the inevitable end result of government prodigality and perpetual counterfeiting by the Federal Reserve come to full manifestation. We have only heretofore seen the foreshock. The TREASON of it is in the fact that the destruction of wealth is deliberate.
I watched it. BOR didn’t seem any angrier or belligerent than his normal self. Just the same arrogant a*hole he’s always been.
Serious.
Yes, Jesus is the only way.
bill runs his herd of moo cows thru’ and then it’s entertainment.
Betting there is a window for human beings that have not had a chance to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Jesus is waiting for them at the cross over.
Hey O'Reilly, NOBODY lives a sinless aka "good" life, one deserving of entry into Heaven and eternal companionship with God. NOBODY. (With the obvious exception of Christ.) We are saved by Grace alone. For us, that means accepting Christ as Savior. Period.
Don't like it? Well, you don't make the rules. God does!
I’ve long wondered
if Bisl O’R
was a willing stooge or unwitting stooge or what . . . to attract the middle and maybe some conservatives to him . . . influencing them, gaining their trust . . . to only lead them down the yellow brick road to the giant globalist worms’ maws of Dune.
I just don’t think one becomes a major media personality without complying with globalist demands.
His whole show stank tonight, with the possible exception of the Laura Ingraham segment. Lately I’ve taken to watching it usually just on Wednesday because of Dennis Miller.
I thought Graham held his own quite effectively. His strong faith dominated throughout and he was prepared for the questions which I’m sure he’s heard before.
Sounds right. We know Him to be a just, righteous and merciful God, so I would expect something like that.
I’ve often thought the same, and there are even a couple passages in the Bible (no, don’t ask me to cite them, I couldn’t) that make me think that MIGHT be the case. But it certainly isn’t clear, hate filled and godless people are unlikely to change their minds and accept the offer IMHO, and I for one certainly am not going to count on it!
PS I also have some heretical ideas about possible embodiments of Hell, but I’m not going to count on those, either!
BOR can’t understand nor accept that there is a power in the world greater than his nor anything that could possibly overshadow his own overextended ego. After all...BOR would like all of us to worship at his altar.
Interesting but never have seen that in the Bible.
O’Reilly is a Christian In Name Only. Anyone that describes a person as “leading a good life” in the context of salvation clearly doesn’t know the gospel. Sad. Compared to a holy God no man is good. Not one.
“Hey O’Reilly, NOBODY lives a sinless aka “good” life, one deserving of entry into Heaven and eternal companionship with God. NOBODY. (With the obvious exception of Christ.) We are saved by Grace alone. For us, that means accepting Christ as Savior. Period.

Exactly. The Bible says that man’s righteousness is like -filthy rags”. O’Reilly -does- want to make the rules.
Oh, to be clear re my bit about Hell, note the word “possible.” And I’m not too worried about it because I have accepted Christ in my heart, sinner that I am, so I’m not going there! I’ll count on the mercy and justness of Christ and God to do the right thing (whatever He deems that to be) for non-believers.
Didn’t you know Bill knows more than God, or anybody else.
Bill makes the ultimate judgment. If you don’t appear on his awful show you can go to hell.
After all, he is lookin’ out for the folks. He means “little people”.
No one comes to the Father except through Christ.
That’s what he said.
I believe it is the height of arrogance for us to put limits on how he might allow people to do so.
Personally I’m glad it’s up to God, not to me.
unless one has never heard of Jesus. Catholics teach, at least as far as I remember, that those, through no fault of their own, do not recieve the message of Jesus' salvation, and who lead a moral and decent life, are able to obtain salvation through the MERCY of God.....why would He condemn them???
