Maybe everyone else has figured this out already, but:
1: Donald Trump the Republican/Conservative/Tea Partier is not the Donald Trump we have known; neither is Donald Trump the politician.
2: Donald Trump the pitchman believes that a good salesman can sell anything.
3: About a year ago I speculated, very tongue-in-cheek, that if the mid-term election was as bad for the Democrats as it promised to be (it was worse), the Democratic Powers-That-Be might suddenly become the new 'birthers'.
So now we have Trump the sudden Republican, raising the birth issue as an essential part of a campaign that's ostensibly right-wing. Is it too paranoid to see a fine Democratic hand in this, with Trump as the front man for Democrats who want to remove the disastrous Obama from the scene without a brutal and chancy primary fight? And not incidentally to disrupt the conservative movement with a false savior?
If that's the case, then the putative Democrats behind Trump must already be able to produce evidence of Obama's ineligibility when the time comes for Trump to 'discover' it. Also, the terrific MSM access Trump has enjoyed may be explained by something besides his entertainment value.
This is all paranoid speculation, to be sure, but it hangs together like the very best paranoid speculation should. And every so often, PS turns out not to be BS.
I have no clue and no useful opinion about the main theme, but your title is superb: Steyn-esque brilliance.
Trump may be in it to clear 0bama out of the way for Hillary to step into the Dem slot for POTUS as he takes VP or steps out.
Does this fit your theory?
IF the Dems (and why would they?) were behind this, the MSM would be doing their bidding and they are not. Also with the MSM to destroy Obama (if they wanted too) why would they need Trump.
Silly idea, sorry
I think the Democrats might want Obama gone. But the birth certificate is a dangerous way for them to do it. It would be a back-stabbing move that would hurt Democrats. They do much better when their “great leaders” become martyrs. JFK, MLK, that sort of thing. Not that I’m suggesting the Left would prefer to deal with the Obama problem that way, of course ...
After watching some of the coverage on Trump it’s become quite obvious to me that Trump is a Dem operative looking to do a Ross Perot. He’s said that if he doesn’t get the Repub nomination, (which he won’t because he’s shunned by the Rebup Country Club elites that answer to the Global elites) that he’ll run as an independent and that’s clearly his goal, that and making money off the whole deal. He’ll sucker many of the Tea Party types, split the ticket and Obama wins again. Game, set, match. This isn’t rocket science.
I have felt the same about him from the beginning. However it’s not the dems he’s working for, it is the ruling elite. This is a trans party group of people that would like to run things. Obama has become their worst nightmare and now they realize the error of their ways and are seeking to correct it. If you review my earlier posts to this site, I predicted that he would resign before the end of his term. The way things are going, it won’t be long. Take a look at Ulsterman White House Insider Series. If we are to believe what’s in there, he’s on anti-depressants and Valerie Jarrett is running the show.
I believe that Donald was chosen for the purpose of getting him out. Except that Donald is experiencing mission creep. He love constantly being in the public eye and you can see from his tea party show in Boca that he’s having the time of his life. And since he’s finding Obama to be a total push over, I think he’s makde the decision not to step aside for the ruling elite’s candidate to take over. I think the people who put him up to this never expected him to catch fire and never really believed they would have to pull the plug on him. However the country is in such awful shape they are more than willing to overlook his past indiscretions and business failures.
Outstanding pun and, no, your comments are not at all over the top. Lots of us are suspicious about the timing of all this and see either or both Soros’ and the Clintons’ fingerprints all over it. At least Obama can look forward to seeing quite a few old friends under that bus.
Eeh, if it were anyone else, I’d agree.
I just can’t see a guy who puts his name on buildings doing someone else’s bidding like that.
His ego is too big for it.
There’s never too much wealth and money; if he’s been promised something by the powers that be, perhaps an entre into the inner circle, he’d jump at the chance and could care less about the consequences. One thing I’ve noticed about Trump is that he regularly suggests or states that someone is being dishonest........this strongly implies that he’s regularly dishonest.
I was sort of thinking along these lines after Trump started
up on the issue. You were ahead of me if you had it sussed
out a year ago. Look, he (Trump) is getting at least some
media attention. That doesn’t happen unless they want it
to happen.
I’m reserving judgement until I find out his stand on Obamacare. If he is for it, he is a phony. If he is willing and agreeable to repeal it, he may just love this country. I really can’t tell what’s in his heart.(just yet)
0bamacare is the biggest disaster in the free world. We already have the Best health Care in the World. It could run a lot more cost effectively and efficiently and I’m sure no one disagrees, and it would seem someone like Trump could make it happen. 0bama will do everything he can to give us the worst possible scenario.
If you read through my past posts you will see that I too have been nervous about Mr. Trump because of his past positions. He seems to be getting more up to speed on the issues surrounding Obama and he comes out swinging seemingly every day. It is so refreshing to have a major personality bashing Obama with the crap that Republican leadership has been afraid to use.
It has been so fun watching him that I prefer to bask in the glory of his Obama bashing that for the moment at least I am willing to overlook his past transgressions. I hope that his example will help get Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann out fighting even harder against Obama.
