I would think that the company’s marketing plan would be very important. I can’t see this as a moneymaker if plans are for the everyday user. Marketing to amusement parks, manufacturing facilities with large properties, universities, and so forth might be a viable markets.

“I love the fenders.”

Fender:
late 13cent., shortening of “defender”.
Used of attachments to boats at first, of fireplaces since 1680s; application to automobiles is 1919.

A free etymological goody.

yeah, that would work but I like the idea of buckling in to a nice comfy seat and being surrounded by a decent roll cage. I also like the electric/solar approach over a chainsaw motor.

Most people could use the exercise. It is not a terrible idea, It is not very good for old people and many baby boomers but Obama wants them dead. So it might work out.

I don't expect to see these at the X Games or for BMX style racing...short on air time.

I do recall seeing one as a kid in the early sixties.

Not fuel tank. Panniers.

I was referring to the huge supply of reserve calories possessed by the "operator".

I looked into these a few years ago as a base for an electric vehicle that I wanted to build (I have built several e-bicycles) I thought they were vastly overpriced, and could build one for 1/4th of what they were charging.
